To raise awareness of #Taiwan with members of the public in our #NewSouthboundPolicy partner countries, and to promote further exchange and cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has teamed up with television stations in the #Philippines, #Vietnam, #India and #Thailand, to create programs which will appeal to local viewers, presented by well-known broadcasters and internet celebrities in local languages. These programs will put Taiwan’s diversity on display, by showcasing Taiwanese cuisine and eco-tourism, in a trendy and down-to-earth format.
The ministry held a press launch today at the Grand Hotel, Taipei, hosted by Vice Minister Miguel Tsao. Renowned channels from the above-mentioned four countries, including CNN Philippines, Ho Chi Minh City Television, India’s ZeeTV and the popular Channel 5 from Thailand, were in attendance.
