Tried a few drinks at Qulu Qulu MyTown Shopping Centre during CNY. Take a look at my video! 😀

I started with the CNY special: Dahong Dazi, with fresh Mandarin oranges 🍊🍊🍊 and hints of pomelo pulp, plus zesty lemon and blue pea.
One word for this - REFRESHING! 🥰
It’s like having freshly squeezed mandarin orange juice for RM8.80 nett.
Get this while the promotion lasts! 😋

Then I shared Qulu Qulu signature coffee-based drinks - the KopiSilk RM7.90 (Kopi, Milk, Gula Melaka & boba) and CHARM (Kopi, Tea, Milk, Boba) RM8.90 with my colleague. The kopi boba was soft and chewy, but we found the coffee flavour too light - request for a stronger shot of kopi if that’s what you prefer.

I liked Cendolli (RM8.90) better- (Kopi, Coconut milk, Pandan, Gula Melaka & Boba) as it was richer (due to the coco milk). Great as a ‘pick me up’ as I work. 👌🏻

My FAVOURITE?
The CHOKADO! 🥑
Because it has AVOCADOS 🥑 and for RM10.90, it’s a decent meal replacement post-workout! 😉

作為馳名省港澳的“碳水教父”，

西西里香橙蛋糕 Sicilian Orange Cake
食材費用：$50 烹調時間：60 分鐘

我只會用新鮮橙汁來製作這個蛋糕，切開時便會散發出新鮮橙味，加上橙皮的口感和甘香，就成為這個美味的西西里香橙蛋糕。


材料
有鹽牛油 130克 (室温)
幼砂糖 100 克
蛋 2隻
新鮮橙皮 1茶匙
鮮榨橙汁 50毫升
自發粉 125克

裝飾糖霜
已軟化牛油 40克
糖霜 50 克
海鹽 1/4茶匙
橙皮 1茶匙
鮮榨橙汁 2 茶匙
雲呢拿香油 1 茶匙

做法
(0655)將有鹽牛油及糖打拂成淺黃色，然後將雞蛋逐隻加入。再加橙皮與橙汁，最後加入自發粉，慢慢拌勻。
(0676)將麵糰倒進已準備的容器內，放入已預熱170度的焗爐內焗40分鐘至金黃，取出後擱涼。
(0628)製作裝飾糖霜，將牛油和糖打至奶油狀，加入其他材料拌勻，均勻地塗在蛋糕上即成。

貼士
你可按喜好省卻裝飾糖霜，蛋糕仍然美味，但一定要選用鮮橙汁！


西西利香橙蛋糕 Sicilian Orange Cake
$50 60 min

I only use fresh orange juice for this cake. So when you cut it you can smell the beautiful fragrance of orange. With the slight tangy 甘 taste of orange zest, it makes a delicious cake.

INGREDIENTS
130 g salted butter (room temperature)
100 g caster sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp finely grated orange zest
50 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
125 g self raising flour

Icing
40 g softened butter
50 g icing sugar
1/4 tsp fine salt
1 tbsp finely grated orange zest
2 tsp freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tsp vanilla essence

STEPS
Beat butter & sugar together until pale, then add eggs, 1 at a time. Add grated orange zest and orange juice. Add self raising flour, beating in slow speed till combined.
Pour batter into prepare tin lined with baking sheet. Bake in pre-heated oven of 170 degrees for 40 min till cooked. Cool completely.
Beat butter and sugar till creamy, then add rest of ingredients. Spread on cake.

TIPS
You can leave the icing if desired. It is also delicious without.
But fresh orange juice is a must.
