HASHTAG BLACK LIVES MATTER

Một trong những điều mình nhận ra hôm nay trên Instagram và Twitter là trào lưu post black background theo #BlackOutTuesday để ủng hộ biểu tình phân biệt chủng tộc ở Mỹ. Mình hoàn toàn ủng hộ điều này và cho đây là một trào lưu nâng cao nhận thức và kêu gọi sự ủng hộ của cư dân mạng một cách rất văn mình và hiệu quả.

TUY NHIÊN, có những thành phần trên mxh post những bài cho rằng những ai không post tương tự hoặc không post ủng hộ phong trào, biểu tình phân biệt chủng tộc có thể coi là đồng tình với tình trạng hiện tại ở Hoa Kỳ (silence is complicit). Nhiều người thậm chí lăng mạ những ai không lên tiếng ủng hộ trên mạng xã hội, gây sức ép với friend list và tỏ vẻ gây hấn thụ động (passive aggressive) nhằm ép buộc bạn bè người quen viết post ủng hộ. Mình đã thấy rất nhiều bạn bè và influencers vì không muốn bị coi là 'không ủng hộ' và đồng tình với hiện trạng xã hội, mà đã bắt theo phong trào.

Mình thấy điều này là KHÔNG ĐÚNG. Cho tôi hỏi, tuần trước khi Hong Kong biểu tình, bạn có post ủng hộ không? Cho tôi hỏi, hồi Tháng 1 khi rừng Australia cháy bạn có post ủng hộ không? Cho tôi hỏi từ trước đến nay, với những chủ đề như bình đẳng giới (gender equality) ở Trung Đông, hay nạn buôn người qua biên giới (human trafficking), hay hiện tượng biến đổi khí hậu (climate change) toàn cầu, BẠN CÓ POST ỦNG HỘ KHÔNG?

Có thể có. Phần lớn là không. Vì sao? Vì chúng ta ai cũng có những giá trị và nguyên tắc riêng. Chúng ta có những chủ đề chúng ta coi trọng hơn, có những vấn đề chúng ta ưu tiên hơn. Không có sai hay đúng ở đây, chỉ là tuỳ thuộc vào mỗi người. Không ai có đủ sức và thời gian để quan tâm đến tất cả mọi vấn đề trên thế giới, và kể cả quan tâm cũng không đồng hành với việc phải post để kêu gọi. Giờ nếu bạn không post ủng hộ việc săn bắn loài động vật quý hiếm ở Châu Phi, bạn có đồng ý mình được quyền lăng mạ bạn không? 😇

Mình nghĩ ai cũng NÊN viết và post để ủng hộ phong trào và nâng cao nhận thức của bạn bè, người thân, followers. Nhưng nó chỉ dừng ở NÊN thôi. Một khi bạn áp đặt việc này lên người khác hoặc khiến cho họ cảm thấy tội lỗi vì không hành động (guilt trip) thì bạn sai lầm hoàn toàn. Hôm nay mình sẽ viết bài post trên Instagram về Black Lives Matter nhưng đây là vì mình thích và mình muốn, chứ không phải do ai bắt ép làm cả 😎
