Scatter More Seeds and Increase
“There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself. People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him. He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.” (Proverbs 11:24-28 WEB)
In this world, there is a principle at work, and that is the principle of sowing and reaping: every seed sown and watered eventually produces a harvest.
“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”” (Genesis 8:22 WEB)
When you give, that is an act of sowing, and it will have an immediate effect of blessing somebody, but it will also produce a harvest for you in due time.
The kind of harvest you reap depends on the type of seed you sow. If you sow a financial seed, you will receive a multiplied harvest of finances.
“Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. As it is written, “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.” Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-11 WEB)
Those who sow generously will reap generously. The apostle Paul confirmed this and encouraged believers to give cheerfully knowing that their gifts go on to bless many people, produce thanksgiving to God, and also abounding grace to the giver.
If we constantly receive but do not give, it will breed the love of possessions, and be detrimental to our own well-being. Hoarding, stinginess, and a scarcity mindset will fester in a person who does not give.
When we step out in faith to worship Jesus through tithing our income and giving as led by the Holy Spirit, we sanctify our hearts from the love of money.
It also has the secondary effect of sowing financial seeds to produce a harvest in our future.
When we give, we are actively putting our trust in the Lord and not in riches. Whenever we give, we can pray for the Lord to multiply our seed for sowing.
As God increases your prosperity and enlarges your coast, get excited about being able to sow even more than before.
I once saw a quote by Mark Batterson, “When God blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.” This is so succinct and wonderfully true. Covet the privilege of being able to give more.
Material possessions in this world are fun and nice comforts and privileges to have, but nothing beats the honor and joy of sowing into God’s kingdom, sponsoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and feeding those in need like widows and orphans, especially those in our household of faith. The rewards for these acts of righteousness will remain forever!

Hope in Jesus Alone
“As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening don’t withhold your hand; for you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good.” (Ecclesiastes 11:5-6 WEB)
Don’t put your hope and confidence in a certain something, whether it be a project, an investment, a person, an organization.
It is true that you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good.
When we start justifying with our mind and natural reasoning to support why something will surely work out, it is dangerous. The Book of Proverbs says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but it is a way that leads to death.
When that thing you are hoping in falls apart, you will be crushed if you placed all your hope and confidence in it. It is unwise to trust in temporal, visible things in this fallen world.
Let us put all our hope and confidence in the Lord Jesus. He is the eternal one that we can trust.
We do not know the way God works and many times, we have to just be okay with not knowing. Just believe that He is working on your situation.
When we have faith in Jesus, we will not be trusting in the individual methods. Our confidence will be in the one who blesses the work of our hands, and who gives us favor in the way that we go. No matter what He places His favor on, that is what will prosper. Be wise and keep your hope only in Him!
Keep studying God’s word and growing in your understanding of His ways. Our Patreon community is currently on a Bible study series called “My Faith Declarations” which looks at the Spirit-inspired utterances of the authors of the Psalms. They wrote about the trials and tribulations they experienced, so the book of Psalms is very relatable.
By turning their faith declarations into our own, we can learn how to overcome similar circumstances in life through faith in the Lord! Knitted with Christ
“When he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him, and gave it to David, and his clothing, even including his sword, his bow, and his sash.” (1 Samuel 18:1-4 WEB)
Today, we will be unpacking the rich passage above. Here, king Saul represents Father God, Jonathan (his name means “gift of Yahweh”) represents Jesus, and David (meaning “beloved”) represents a born-again believer.
Jonathan was Saul’s beloved son, just as Jesus is the Father’s beloved Son.
Jonathan means “gift of Yahweh”, and the Father gave Jesus to us as a gift.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 WEB)
When we first finished speaking to God, praying to receive Jesus as Lord, our spirit was knit with the Holy Spirit—we became one spirit with Christ.
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:17 WEB)
Just as Jonathan loved David as himself, Jesus also loves us unconditionally without limits.
God took us into His house, transferring us from the domain of darkness into the glorious kingdom of God. We can never return to our old father’s (Satan) house. We are permanently saved.
Jesus as the pre-incarnate Christ made a covenant with Abraham out of love for mankind, and we who receive Him as Lord come under that covenant relationship. Under the New Covenant of Grace, God blesses based on what Jesus’ perfect obedience at the cross, and not our own works-based obedience.
Just as Jonathan stripped himself of his royal clothing and armor to give them to David, Jesus also stripped Himself at the cross so that we could be clothed with His righteousness.
Meanings of the 5 items:
1. Robes: righteousness
2. Clothing: anointing
3. Sword: power
4. Bow: authority
5. Sash: royalty.
As children of God, we have received all the good things that rightfully belongs to Jesus. We have inherited righteousness, anointing, power, authority and royalty.
What did we give Jesus? Our sins! We made Him spiritually bankrupt when He received our sins upon Himself at the cross. Through His poverty, we have become rich in every good way.
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9 WEB)
Thank You Jesus for Your great sacrifice!! Teach us to always keep our eyes on You and serve You for the rest of our lives.

Merry Christmas to my dear friends and families! December it's a crazy month for me, so in order to do this song in a short time, I get the karaoke track from the GLEE version. For me, Christmas is always about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I sang this song at Christmas carols before and I like to do this song again. If the Bible says that we are already blessed with every blessing, is it wrong to ask God to bless us again...and again? Will God answer such "selfish" prayers? Join Joseph Prince in this myth-busting message as he shows you the truth that God's heart is to bless you—over and over again! See from the prayer of Jabez and the lives of other Bible characters why it is even honorable to ask God to bless you and how He is willing to keep blessing you. Dare to ask again and watch your blessings come to pass as you see your Father's big heart!
