Rising Ramen is a new Ramen joint in town, the lucky folks at Pulau Tikus can now enjoy a bowl of Ramen with rich meat broth and al-dente noodles at the new Moulmein Rise Shoppes, right behind Pulau Tikus market. Aims to be a Halal Ramen joint, the restaurant is now offering a Pork-Free menu featuring a few signature Ramen dishes as well as Donburi and side dishes. It is a joint venture between a local and a Japanese Ramen master; the interior decor is simple with a familiar Japanese-restaurant setting. But certain local traits can be seen as well... like the pickled Cili Padi resting on the table and the option of adding Fish Balls to the Ramen. Authenticity aside, the Ramen joint did manage to convince us with its slurp-licious noodles and flavorful broth.... most importantly, friendly price tags.

Halal: Miso-Ramen No Pork, No Alcohol 1000 yen

Halal refers to the dietary habits (standards of cooking ingredients) in the Muslim culture, which does not include pork or alcohol. Ramen Sapporo Ikkobu-an is making Sapporo miso ramen with ingredients without pork or sake, and welcomes travelers from all over the world as a Muslim friendly restaurant.

From 2020, refined taste and newly launched. This menu has a low calorie (estimated value: 750 Kcal), which is 15-20% calorie-off compared to our miso ramen, so it has been well received by local OLs.

Homemade sticky noodles. Miso brewed with 100% Hokkaido ingredients. We offer local miso ramen with local production for local consumption, such as scallops from Hokkaido.

If you are looking for a delicious ramen restaurant near Sapporo Station, we recommend a popular restaurant that has a fresh menu from all over Hokkaido and has created an exquisite menu based on the concept of local production for local consumption. For this video, I went down to Central Thai Kitchen at City Square Mall to try their 3KG Pad Thai Platter! Central Thai Kitchen is a Halal-certified Thai restaurant that serves authentic Thai cuisine at affordable prices. This was not a timed challenge platter, so I took my time and enjoyed the really delicious Thai offerings in this 3KG platter.

For this platter, I was served enormous portions of Pad Thai with Prawn, Basil Minced Chicken, Honey Chicken and Thai Prawn Cake.

The Basil Minced Chicken was well done and did not fall into the common trap of adding the Basil leaves too early, which tend to cause the leaves to turn bitter.

The Honey Chicken came nicely battered with a luscious sauce that did not disappoint. The largest serving was the Pad Thai, which was extremely flavourful and nuanced. You could almost imperceptibly taste the individual components, the flavours lingering momentarily on the tongue, before merging into a medley of pleasantness.

However, the star of the platter for me was the Prawn Cake, which was lightly battered and fried and was made with real prawns minced up with barely any filler. It came with a sweet chilli sauce and it was a true treat to bite through the crunchy exterior, only to be greeted by the moist and tasty interior. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and it was difficult to not try to take it slow and savour the platter.

I asked to cook Japanese instant noodles at local restaurant in Bali.　
This restaurant offers halal foods for Muslims.
