You Can Trust the Father
“On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.” Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him. A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?” He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?” They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”” (Mark 4:35-41 WEB)
If God has given you a personal rhema word, then it should settle your heart, no matter what storms come between now until the fulfillment of His word.
Jesus could sleep through the great wind storm because He had complete faith in the Father’s word.
“Jesus therefore answered them, “Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise.” (John 5:19 WEB)
Jesus never did anything unless He first saw His Father doing it. He was guided through visions from the Father.
“How can you tell me to sleep through this storm?? It looks so bad. I guess God’s word to me cannot be true. I must have heard wrongly or misinterpreted it.”
If that is what you are thinking, calm down first.
Did you realize how easy it was for God to turn the great storm into a great calm?
Jesus only spoke a word, probably “shalom” in Hebrew, and the life-threatening situation turned around as if it never existed.
No attack from the enemy or from wicked ones can ever destroy you when your faith is in God’s word.
During the wind storm, the disciples had fear, and no faith.
If only they had faith in the rhema word which was “Let’s go over to the other side,” they could have declared shalom to the great storm and seen it turn into a great calm.
If there is a stormy situation in your life and you feel afraid, remember the rhema words that have been declared over you, and begin to agree with them.
“who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” (Colossians 1:15 WEB)
Feed on Jesus’ love for you because the way Jesus showed His love in the four gospels reveals how Abba God is like. Jesus is the perfect image of the Father.
Jesus healed all who came to Him, and provided food for the hungry. He helped those who were the outcasts of society, and offered them love, forgiveness, a heavenly calling, and total redemption.
“He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.” (1 John 4:8 WEB)
This is how Abba God is like because Jesus only did what the Father showed Him to do. Our God is love. We have such a good heavenly Father. When we trust Him, we shall not lack any good thing!
In the 37 recorded miracles worked by Jesus Christ, we can see the Father’s heart of love and Grace towards us. Where is Jesus Now?
“Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24 WEB)
The day is coming whereby Jesus’ prayer request in the verse above will be fulfilled.
We, the church (bride of the Lamb) will be received by our heavenly bridegroom into His Father’s house.
How amazing it will be to live where Jesus is, to see His glory in person.
Did you know that even the apostles who have since fallen asleep in death are not yet exactly where Jesus is?
“In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.” (John 14:2-3 WEB)
Jesus resides with Abba God in the sanctuary that is on the Mount Zion in the Heavenly Jerusalem. That is the location of God’s throne.
The Jerusalem on earth is actually a miniature mirror image of the Jerusalem above. Even the layout is the same—God made sure this was so.
None of the saints are there in the sanctuary yet. Those who are dead in Christ are in a part of Heaven called Paradise which is the garden of God.
“I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don’t know, or whether out of the body, I don’t know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven. I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don’t know; God knows), how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4 WEB)
In the original Greek, the word is Paradeison which means “a pleasure garden”. In Hebrew, the name is translated as “Gan Eden”, which is literally the Garden of Eden. Eden also means “pleasure”. Both the Greek and Hebrew agree that it is the Garden of Eden.
So that is where the Garden of Eden and the tree of life went! It was translated up to Heaven, protecting the tree of life from the world-destroying flood, and is now used as a waiting area for the saints.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.” (Revelation 2:7 WEB)
We see that this is true. The Holy Spirit testifies that the tree of life is now in the Paradise (Garden of Eden) in Heaven. The cherubim with fiery swords who guard the entrance to the garden do not stop the saints there from accessing the tree of life!
The dead in Christ are still waiting for the Rapture so that they can receive their glorified bodies and finally be where Jesus is.
If what I’m saying is not true, then Jesus would not have said to the apostles, “I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.”
We know that the apostles who heard these words spoken by Jesus have already fallen asleep in death.
This promise will be fulfilled at the Rapture. The Lord will come back, and in the air, He will receive us to Himself. The apostles and all the saints will receive glorified bodies, and we will finally be with Jesus!

Your Body is Preserved Blameless
“May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 WEB)
The title “God of peace” in Hebrew might be translated as “Yahweh shalom” whereby shalom means being whole and complete, not lacking or damaged in any way.
I love how the apostle Paul said that it is the God of peace Himself who will sanctify us completely in spirit, soul, and body. God is the faithful one who will do it.
This truth takes all the burden off our shoulders, and we can just rest in His ability and promise.
When your body is sanctified completely and preserved blameless, it means that it is free from the effects of death and curse in the world. Sanctify has this meaning: “to specially set apart from what is common, for a special purpose.”
It means that your body will be young, healthy, fit, and strong now, so that when our Lord returns, He will find it in a blameless state of shalom.
When you believe that God will do it, He will do it for you. If you believe the world that says everyone ages and dies, and sow their kind of death-producing words, that is the result you will reap.
Yahweh shalom will impart His shalom to make your body whole, complete, and not lacking or damaged in any way. Won’t you believe and confess it?
Declare with me: “The God of peace sanctifies my body completely, preserving my body blameless for Jesus’ return. As Jesus’ body is young, healthy, fit, strong, and full of shalom peace, so am I in this world. Amen!”
