⛺️🌵While we were lost and looking for the campsite, there was no light no sound no trail no signal; in other words, complete darkness. It then dawned on me how dependent I had been on daily noise to keep calm during my sleepless nights before: noise from our rumbling cars, noise from our light pollution, noise from our social media. Stranded, and I started to fidget in any way possible.

To embrace absolutely nothing was quite a dramatic and comforting process: dramatic, as memories with friends and family kept rushing in; comforting, as wilderness has its way in humbling human existence.

And I am grateful to walk into this with heartwarming footprints in mind from all of you. I hope everyone is doing well, or I hope you choose to believe life is around the corner and worth sticking through one more night x
