When Volvo told me that “it’s our vision that no one should be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo car", I was so intrigued…
Every year about 1.35 million people are killed in roadways* around the world, and here’s a car that is really going the extra mile to save lives.
Beyond being the inventors of the three-point safety belt that we use today (interesting story actually, I’ll save it for another day), the new Volvo cars have many safety features, and here are some that BLOW MY MIND
1. This car has a feature called “Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake” and does exactly what it sounds like it does - it can detect pedestrians (they have a whole seperate detection system for animals by the way) crossing the road, and will automatically pull the brakes on the car if the driver doesn’t.
2. My favourite feature is the "Lane Keeping Aid" — when I have this feature activated, my car sends a polite warning when the car drifts off a lane unintentionally. If I forget to signal when changing lanes, the steering wheel gently vibrates and kindly steers me back..
3. Adaptive Cruise Control - now this function really makes me feel like we're heading into a driver-less future!! When activated, the car will detect the speed of the car ahead and adapts it to its own speed with a time interval to keep some distance. This is a kind of semi-autonomos driving that comes in super handy during traffics because it gives your feet some time to rest (haven’t tried this yet because the roads are so clear, but I will one day!)
And ! Get this — Volvo shares their safety research in their online E.V.A. database which anyone can download. So kind 💙
In the spirit of now, just wanna wish you all the safest of the times 💙 keeping ourselves and each other safe is the kindest of things we can do.

Short trip sehari setengah ulang alik Gemas N9 - Wakaf Bharu Kelantan dgn sleeper train KTM Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (Sabtu 26/9/20 @ 12am - Ahad 27/9/20 @7am)
.
Dikongsi oleh : Izza Al’Yahya
.
1.Drive dari Shah Alam ke stesen KTMB gemas ambil ms 2jam 30min. Sampai di strsen Gemas Jam 10.30mlm. Then jam 1205mlm, start perjalanan dgn KTM ERT dr stesen Gemas (meeting point menghubungkan WCRL-ECRL) ke stesen Tumpat (stesen terakhir Pantai Timur).
.
Sebab nak dekat sikit dengan bandar Kota Bharu, kami beli tiket turun di stesen Wakaf Bharu instead of Tumpat.
.
Perjalanan sehala ambil masa 11 jam 55 minit. Beli tiket train dari website/app KTM. Harga tiket untuk perjalanan sehala:
.
- Katil/berth (atas) RM40
- Katil/berth (bawah) RM46
.
☑️Return ticket katil/berth bawah: total rm92/person.
.
☑️Unit katil ni tak bnyak, so kene beli tiket awal dlm 2mggu sebelum trip.
.
2. Kalau yg mnt photo hunting mcm kami, mmg berbaloi 12 jam naik train ni. Dlm train, boleh lepak baca buku ats katil, berborak2, bila lapar gi mkn kt cafe pekena maggi sup (signature food dlm train ni) mmg marvellous, pekena plk dgn teh o panas. Layan view dr tingkap tepi katil, tdr mlm mmg nyenyak wpun gegar2 jugak la. Tp syok sbb baru la rasa klasik die.
.
3.Sepanjang perjalanan akan melalui landmark2 yang best (kalau korang tak terlajak tidur la) Prjlanan mlm mmg tak nmpak apa. So pagi tu lps sarapan kt cafe, blh layan view2 ni,
.
-stesen kuala lipis (around 6pagi)
-stesen merapoh (around 7.30pg)
- Gua Musang (around 8 pagi)
- Stesen Dabong, hentian utk hikers mendaki ke gunung stong (around 9.40pg)
- Jambatan Guillemard (sekitar 11 pagi)
- train akn masuk beberapa terowong klasik (rujuk video)
.
Hati2 masa shoot gmbr or video dr pintu keretapi, sebab train laju & track mmg bergegar2, tak hp or kamera yg jatuh, kita sndri boleh jatuh klau careless.
.
4. Matlamat utama trip ni nk dpt experience & enjoy journey dlm sleeper train ni, so kami cuma singgah KB dlm 5 jam je sebelum meneruskan perjalanan balik ke Gemas semula.
.
5.Sewa kereta Axia utk 6 jam total rm60 ( num booking kereta sewa 016-750 8833), 10 minit je drive dr stesen Wakaf Bharu ke KB.
.
6.Walaupun 5jam je, sempat jugak la pergi tmpt2 signature area KB ni wpun rushing, sbb traffic kat KB pun pndai jemmm mcm kL jgk.
.
-sampai stesen Wakaf Bharu sabtu 12.30pm , pick up kereta sewa then terus ke Kopitiam Kita utk lunch. Pekena signature food dia roti titab & teh ais.
.
-pasar Siti Khadijah- tak beli apa pun😅
-kedai kopi Din Tok Yo
-street art Kota Bharu
-Nasi ulam cikgu ( dtg mkn jam 4.30ptg, mkanan pun tak bnyk dah, nasib dh knyg mkn roti titab)
-kampung Kraftangan ( lalu entrance je 😅)
.
Sebab kami bkn jns big eater, 5 jam kt sna nk mkn mcm2 mmg boleh muntah😅. kami prefer photo hunting instead of food hunting.
.
6.Jam 6ptg kami return kereta sewa then bersiap utk tggu train blk ke Gemas semula. Sm jugak 11 jam 55minit perjalanan. Train blk lmbt sejam sbb kepala lokomotif merajuk jap.
.
7.Dijangka sampai stesen Gemas esok ahad jam 8 pagi. Mlm ni lepas mkn kt cafe, naik atas katil & tidurr.

Short trip for a day and a half of going to Gemas Negeri Sembilan - Wakaf Bharu Kelantan with sleeper train KTM Express Rakyat Timuran (Saturday 26/9/20 @ 12 am - Sunday 27/9/20
.
Shared by: Izza Al ' Yahya
.
1. Drive from Shah Alam to KTMB Gemas station take ms 2 hours 30 min. Arrived at Gemas strsen at 10.30 pm. Then at 1205 pm, start the journey with KTM ERT from Gemas station (meeting point connecting WCRL-ECRL) to Tumpat station (last station of East Coast).
.
Because we want to be closer to Kota Bharu, we bought tickets to Wakaf Bharu station instead of Tumpat.
.
One way trip takes 11 hours and 55 minutes. Buy train tickets from KTM website / app. Ticket prices for one-way travel:
.
- Bed / Berth (above) RM40
- Bed / Berth (below) RM46
.
☑️ Return ticket for bed / berth below: total RM92 / person.
.
☑️ There's not much of the bed unit, so I have to buy tickets early in 2 weeks before the trip.
.
2. If the one who wants photo hunting like us, it's worth it 12 hours on this train. In the train, we can hang out reading books on the bed, talking, when hungry we go eat at the cafe pekena maggi soup (signature food in this train) it's really marvellous, have some hot tea. Looking at the view from the window by the bed, sleeping at night is really soundly even though I'm shaking. \ Cannot translate \
.
3. Along the journey will be through the best landmarks (if you don't sleep too much) The night trip really doesn't see anything. So that morning after breakfast at the cafe, can entertain the views,
.
- Kuala Lipis station (around 6 am)
- Merapoh station (around 7.30 am)
- Gua Musang (around 8 am)
- Dabong Station, stop for hikers climbing to mountain stong (around 9.40 am)
- Guillemard Bridge (around 11 am)
- train will enter some classic tunnels (refer to the video)
.
Be careful when you shoot pictures or videos from the train door, because the train speed & track are shaking, not the phone or camera that fell, we can fall if careless.
.
4. Main goals for this trip to get experience & enjoy journey in this sleeper train, so we just drop by KB in 5 hours before continuing our journey back to Gemas again.
.
5. Axia car rental for 6 hours total of RM60 (booking number for rental car 016-750 8833), only 10 minutes driving from Wakaf Bharu station to KB.
.
6. Although it's only 5 hours, still managed to go to signature places in KB area even though it's rushing, because traffic congestion in KB is also good at jamming
.
- reached Wakaf Bharu station Saturday 12.30 pm, pick up a rental car then straight to Kopitiam for lunch. Having signature food for titab bread & iced tea.
.
- Siti Khadijah market-didn't buy anything 😅
- Din Tok Yo coffee shop
- street art Kota Bharu
- Teacher's ulam rice (came to eat at 4.30 pm, there's not much food left, luckily I ate titab bread)
- Crafts village (just passing by the entrance 😅)
.
Because we're not JNS big eater, 5 hours there, we can vomit for all sorts of things 😅. We prefer photo hunting instead of food hunting.
.
6. at 6 pm we return the rental car and get ready to wait for the train to return to Gemas again. It's the same as 11 hours and 55 minutes journey. Train back an hour late because the locomotive head is sulking for a while.
.
7. Expected to arrive at Gemas station tomorrow Sunday at 8 am. Tonight after eating at the cafe, going to bed and sleeping.
.

i like the way you are when we're driving in your car 在 Pakar diari hati Facebook 的最佳貼文
Saya balik kerja, isteri cakap, "Abang, jom keluar jalan-jalan. Stress la"
Banyak kali macam tu. Pelik betul. Stress apa, duduk rumah jaga anak-anak tercinta yang comel-comel tu. Kalau ikutkan, keluar rumah, lagi la stress dan penat.
Bila fikir semula, saya bawa juga pusing-pusing naik kereta. Kadang-kadang, singgah pasaraya. Selalunya tak beli apa pun, window shopping je. Tapi dia punya teruja, macam anak kecil diajak pergi Disneyland.
...Continue ReadingI came back from work, wife said, ′′ Brother, let's go for a walk. Stress la ′′
Many times like that. So weird. Stress what, stay at home and take care of your cute beloved children. If you follow, you'll get out of the house, you'll be stressed and tired
When I think about it, I'm also driving around the car. Sometimes stop by the supermarket. Always don't buy anything, window shopping only. But he's excited, like a little kid was invited to Disneyland.
′′ Thank you brother, for taking a walk!", my wife will say this every time she walks.
I remember a message, ′′ This woman's emotion is like a small balloon, can't handle too much stress. It will erupt. Different from us men ′′
My wife used to be gentle, since I had this child, if I don't have time, I'll lose the king of the Feels like eating people. Weird too. Where did his old softness and humanity go?
We just hold our handphone, suddenly we can be attacked. Shocking. Suddenly erupted.
I'm trying to understand this situation. Yes, we husbands are hard to understand.
Apparently, not as tired as a husband and tired as a wife.
Child cries for milk, other children are fighting screaming, the other one is forced to watch cartoons, the house is like a broken barge. The cooking, business, lack of sleep, hunger, washing clothes, neat, entertaining the customer's attitude. This happens everyday, almost every time.
Look at this picture, want to sleep, just want to be with his mom. There's no room for his mother. I have to cover my wife's headscarf for this kid to confuse.
This hustle is forcing the wife physically, mentally and emotionally.
Who else is the wife's place to complain and expect? It's us, his partner. That's why if their emotions aren't calmed, it can explode!
So, this advice is for myself and my husbands. Wife is Allah's trust in us.
1. Listen to her story. If the wife wants to talk, listen to her face, or hug her. Show us what we care and support him. When we ignore him he wants to luv his tiredness, he's heartbreaking. You know that I'm sulking. It's worse if we're cynical and lower his feelings. Don't be weird if the wife can fight.
2. Taking care of the house is our work too. There is no such thing as 'helping wife do housework'. If you follow, that's our job too. We cook because we want to eat, we wash our clothes and dishes because we've worn it. That's our house and that's our child. We have responsibility. Lighten the bones.
3. Wife's work has no office hour. He's not a robot, so, for his time to rest and ' me time '. He's not resting, since he had his first child.
To me, taking care of this household has two schools of thought. One, wife has to treat husband like a king. Secondly, taking care of the house together. Both are right. Adjust it to our way.
All wives, I'm sorry, if I don't understand you, for husbands a chance. We take care of us Things can be discussed. Start by talking good with a partner.
Forgive me if there are any mistakes and mistakes. We are human beings. Why does husband have shortcomings? Because you are her complement.
We are not the best, but let us try to be the best.
