RAPPER IN YOUR MIND. THE BEST IMAGE (Via CLIP/YOUTUBE/PHOTOS)

Rất nhiều bạn thắc mắc về “Mình bắt đầu đam mê thời trang từ đâu?” thì mình xin chia sẻ nó là từ văn hóa đường phố. Từ Breakdancing, Graffiti, MC-ing tới những bộ phim mà mình từng có bài viết như “You Got served”, “Step Up” – mình bắt đầu bị mê như điếu đổ các nền culture này và tò mò về những thứ họ mặc. Đúng vậy, sao mà cool – sao mà ngầu thế và ai chẳng muốn mình ngầu giống họ (Cho nên vấn đề các bạn trẻ đang cố gắng để mặc giống idols nào đó như STMTP hay BzBK thì mình dễ dàng hiểu). Rap cũng không phải là ngoại lệ.

List những Rappers sau đây sẽ thuộc vào timeline mà mình bắt đầu yêu thích thời trang và tìm hiểu về nó. Dù sau này kiến thức thời trang của mình được củng cố và dày hơn thì cách họ ăn mặc bây giờ đã không còn thuyết phục được mình, nhưng những hình ảnh đó vẫn luôn là niềm cảm hứng để mình tự hào nói.

(Xin nhắc lại là chắc chắn không có những OGs như Tupac, Icecube hay Eminem vì thời đó mình chưa biết nhiều về họ, mình cũng chỉ nghe những thứ mình thích trước khi đào sâu về nó).

1. Tyga (Hookah) ft Young Thug

Dù các rappers sau này có nhiều như thế nào đi nữa thì mình vẫn nghĩ rằng Tyga trong mình vẫn là 1 Rapper có độ flex trên MV bám sát trước giờ nhất. Tại sao mình lại nhắc Tyga ư, cái thời 2012-2013 mình được nghe những hits và thời “hoàng kim” nhất của Tyga như “Rack City” “Molly” hay “Hookah”. Cái Tyga ấn tượng và lead cho mình là gì các bạn biết không? Là đôi Vans Authentic Red và Snapback. Cái thời đó, mình mê mệt cái fit quần short + Tee + chain + Snapback và Vans của Tyga. Và cũng từ thời điểm đó, mình tìm hiểu về Vans và Snapback.

2. Chris Brown (Loyal) ft Lil Wayne, Tyga.

Như một dây chuyền, mình biết tới Chris Brown. Có lẽ C.B không phải là 1 thuần rappers nhưng cũng vì Chris cũng từ văn hóa đường phố Mĩ đi lên nên mình cho vào danh sách này. Một người đa tài, hát và nhảy thuần thục (Nếu các bạn chưa nghe thì nghe thử bài Fine China của Chris Brown đi nhé, cả bản MV và bản Dance í, mặc cũng clean và đẹp). Trong Loyal thì hình tượng mà CB cho mình biết là cách layer phối flannel mà nhiều bạn bây giờ vẫn làm í (2014 – 6 năm rồi) và đặc biệt là đôi Timberland. C.B là 1 nghệ sĩ yêu thích sử dụng Timberland trong các outfit của mình.

3. Dok2 (Come here)/ Masta Wu feat Bobby.

“Young King, Young Boss” của Underground xứ Hàn cũng nằm trong danh sách này vì thực sự MV “Comehere” đến giờ mình vẫn xem là một clip khá chơi. Năm 2014 nếu bạn chịu khó đào sâu chi tiết của MV thì cũng thấy những thương hiệu lớn như SLP, Offwhite, BBC.. thì Dok2 khiến một thằng nhóc chảy cả nước miếng vì đôi Air Jordan 6s Infrared cùng nào Chain và Rolex Gold.

4. Kanye West/ Yeezy Season 3 Line/ Premiere of “The Life of Pablo” album

Kanye West thì khỏi phải nói rồi. Chắc chắn “Yeezus” có rất nhiều khoảnh khắc và ảnh hưởng tới thời trang của không chỉ mình mà rất nhiều người khác, nhưng đẹp nhất với mình và giờ vẫn đẹp đó chính là lúc Kanye giơ 2 bàn tay của mình lên tại Madison Square Garden. Cùng với đó là bộ merchandise soldout trong thời gian ngắn nhất “The Life of Pablo” và thời “Vàng” của đế chế Yeezy adidas.

5. A$AP ROCKY (Wild for the Night) ft Skrillex, Birdy Nam Nam.

A$AP Rocky thì khỏi phải nói rồi – sau này với Fashion killa, RAF, A$AP Forever , Babushka .. thì Flacko có thể được xem là một trong những Rappers ăn mặc đẹp nhất hiện nay. Cùng với sự trợ giúp của stylist thì Flacko cũng sở hữu gu cá nhân của riêng mình. Nhưng nếu không biết cái cách mà A$AP Rocky đưa AF1 (Mid) to the game cũng như cho mình biết tới Pyrex – tiền thân của Off-white bây giờ.

6. Travis Scott – Highest in the Room

Mặc clean trắng đẹp, visual xịn. Đùa chứ chắc được là cái fit mà Travis Scott mặc cái jersey Supreme x LV và nguyên cây LV từ mùa F/W 2017. Mình để vậy cho các bạn vui thôi. Hohi.

7. Kendrick Lamar
K-Dot/Kungfu Kenny vẫn là 1 nghệ sĩ mình khá thích về cách ăn mặc. Không quá hào nhoáng và phô trương – nhìn vào là thấy KDot. Hình ảnh ấn tượng nhất đối với mình là Kendrick rock đôi Vapormax trong bộ “The Ten” hợp tác cùng Offwhite lần đầu với Nike. Đây cũng chính là lí do chính mà ông anh mình quyết mua bằng được đôi này, trong khi mình mua đôi Presto hihi.

8. Tyler, The Creator – ERFQUAKE

Tyler thực sự là một phạm trù hoàn toàn khác những cái tên kể trên. Tyler cho mình một cảm giác gọi là “CHó điên” từ âm nhạc, thời trang và cách trình diễn. Chất giọng cất lên là nổi da gà – một gu thời trang màu sắc sặc sỡ, nhưng lại vô cùng hợp lí mà không bị quá phản cảm. Tyler, The Creator là 1 cơn gió lạ đối với các rappers tại thời điểm mà mình bắt đầu biết tới. Vậy vậy thôi mà người ta có brand quần áo riêng, toàn chơi đồ Chanel nha mấy ní. Coi MV “Potato Salad” nha các bạn

9. Frank Ocean – Panorama Fest

Có lẽ nên nói về Frank Ocean với Prada vì fit này rất đẹp và sang nhưng mình ấn tượng hơn về Frank với chiếc áo “Why be”
“Why be Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, or transphobic when you could just be quiet?”
“Tại sao phải phân biệt chủng tộc, giới tính, đồng tính khi mày có thể im lặng?”
Oh my man.

10. Keith Ape – “It G MA” (feat Jayallday, Loota, Okasian, Kohh)

Đây chắc là nơi đưa tên tuổi Keith Ape đi lên – và như cái rap name của mình. Keith Ape trong It G Ma đã khá nhấn mạnh về thương hiệu “A Bathing Ape”. Và cũng từ đây, mình tìm hiểu thêm về Keith Ape và sâu hơn và Bape – không chỉ dừng ở một khái niệm “Hypebeast”.
Dù sau này, mình biết nhiều hơn nên khó bị ấn tượng bởi bất kỳ ai nên dù sao mình cũng có 1 thời gian đẹp nhỉ.

Til now I still cannot believe that I had the honour to do a solo Bollywood dance performance in 7th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival in Athens, Greece on 7th July 2019. This was my second time performing a solo dance overseas but my first time to have such a big outdoor stage all for myself! Flaws are there in each of my performance but each time I do try my best which really matters. Each stage experience is unique and has provided me an opportunity to improve by widening my horizons about performing.

I believe all of us are on a certain quest for something in our life, while dance and love are the biggest aspects for me. Lost / Found is always how I am in dance and love. So when they asked for a title of my dance, Lost / Found pretty summarized it because it was a dance about love.

This dance marks my first Bollywood solo dance performance ever in Hong Kong. What made it even more memorable was that it was my own creation and the occasion was for a good cause. You may spot a few mistakes in my dance but these make this performance even more unique as I could never make the same mistakes in the same way again. Everything happened is for a beautiful memory. There are some steps which I think I should improvise for future performances. I will also make a studio version of this choreography soon. I hope you enjoy my first Dholida.
