#wackybeckyFeast: in Hong Kong! :P
After a 1 Michelin Star Tim Ho Wan brunch, we had 1 Michelin star Kam's roast goose for lunch!
Juicy flesh which was tender yet firm. Skin had a wonderful crispiness with a thin layer of fat so as you chew all the yummy juices oozes out into your mouth. Hmmm! :D
HKD135 (RM65) for whole leg. HKD 255 for half, 490 for whole.
Not sure if its the best there is, but it was certainly an excellent roast goose!
Maybe I should try a few more for comparison?

Every foodie who visit Hong Kong would inevitably include Yung Kee on their checklist. It started off as a road-side stall in the 1942 selling roast meats and is now one of the most famous restaurant serving roast goose and a range of Cantonese dishes. I tried it during my last trip to Hong Kong. Honestly, I was rather disappointed.
Last year, one of the grandsons of the founder of Yung Kee opened a casual dining restaurant called "Kam's Roast Goose" (甘牌燒鵝) along Hennessy Road, specializing only in roast meat. Four months after its opening in July 2014, this new restaurant has already nabbed a Michelin-star. That's a feat that Yung Kee has never achieved and it speaks about the quality of roast meats that Kam's serves. With such good testimony, I decided to give Kam's a try this time round and I must say, it is the most memorable meal I had so far.
I spent about half a day at Kam's, speaking with Kam's Roast Goose owner Mr Hardy Kam to understand about the family's history and his passion in goose roasting, as well as trying out their famed roast goose. If you didn't realize, the current executive chef at Kam's was previously from Yung Kee.
Our dinner at Kam's was awesome. The slight crispy skin melts in the mouth and the meat was juicy and tender. I have tried many other roast goose eateries in Hong Kong and Kam's version is truly very impressive. Big thank you to Mr Robert Chua for helping me to arrange arrangement an exclusive interview with Mr Hardy Kam. I am excited to announce something big and exciting for Kam's Roast Goose on my blog this week. Stay tuned!
