YAY! Just received a tenor mouthpiece custom made by Arnold Montgomery of AM mouthpiece. 日本語は下をご覧ください。When he reached out,we had a nice phone conversation telling him what I want in sound, volume, style of music, facing, etc. 2 weeks later, I received this beautiful piece. As requested, he changed to gold plate with hot pink bite plate.
This model is Katana 7* came with Rovner ligature and cap.
As I tried this "Katana" mouthpiece, ( I happen to know that means sword in Japanese) it is very free blowing and I can push quite a bit. Altissimo was easy to pop out as well. It gives me so much flexibilities that it doesn't fight with what I am aiming for, that is rare. I was able to get nice subtone, too. Sound has nice edge that I can cut through on my pop or smooth jazz gig and be heard, but not bright like crazy chainsaw sound. lol Love this mouthpiece. Can't wait to get to play more with this baby.

AMマウスピースのアーノルドさんから手作りのマウスピースが届きました。電話で希望の音色、音楽のタイプ、フェーシング、ボリューム、今使っているリードなど細やかに話し２週間後送ってもらったのが”Katana”モデルの７＊ 特別にゴールドプレート ホットピンクのバイトプレート！ 結構見かけ重視なので見てるだけで嬉しくなりました。
演奏してみるとすごいボリューム。自分でもびっくり。音にエッジもありポップ、R&Bの仕事にもってこい。(ジャズはちょっと無理） サブトーンも綺麗に出たしアルティッシモの高い音も簡単にピーピーでました。 自分の息、押しにすごくよく反応するのでマウスピースと戦わなくていいのは嬉しいことです。でもコントロールできる幅が広いので慣れるまでちょっと時間がかかりそうです。 リガチャーはローブナー。（付属品）
