Đó chính là Pờ Sý (Phùng Thanh Độ phiên âm) – MV đầu tiên đạt được tỉ view của Youtube Gangnam style đã trở thành một hiện tượng toàn cầu. Người ta bắt chước điệu nhảy, bắt chước cách ăn mặc và dĩ nhiên có cả quả kính Gentle Monster trên đó nữa. Ngay sau đó, cùng với các chiến lược tiếp cận người dùng của mình – Gentle phủ rộng khắp nước Hàn bằng cách cho các ngôi sao phim truyền hình, show thực tế và cả Kpop sử dụng GM.

Quả bom “Gangnamstyle” cũng kích luôn quả mìn nổ chậm mang tên “Gentle Monster”. Việc hợp tác với nhiều thương hiệu nổi tiếng khác cũng là một cách để GM đánh bật được tên tuổi cũng như thoát ra khỏi thị trường Châu Á và phát triển như 1 thương hiệu toàn cầu. Từ các IT girl như Kendall, Gigi Hadid đến các fashion designer như Alexander Wang, Fendi, Places+Faces… đã chứng minh tham vọng của Kim.
