I believe that all Malaysians want only the best for this blessed nation and I am proud to share that Malaysia has made improvements on a global scale in fields of anti-corruption, ease of doing business, and freedom of press.
According to the Corruption Perception Index, Malaysia’s position has improved from being number 61 to number 51. It also reflects Malaysia’s score improvement from 47 to 53.
In terms of the Ease of Doing Business Index by the World Bank, Malaysia’s rank went up from number 15 to number 12.
Malaysia has improved 5 out of 6 dimension according to World Bank’s Worldwide Governance indicators,. We have improved in voice and accountability, political stability, government effectiveness, rule of law and corruption control.
On the Global Peace Index, Malaysia jumped from number 25 to number 16.
According to the Rule of Law Index by World Justice Project, Malaysia ranked up from number 56 to number 51.
On the Freedom in the World Index by Freedom House, we have an improved score from 45/100 to 57/100.
And good news for the Malaysian press, Malaysia went from number 145 to 123 on the Press for Freedom in the World Index by Reporters Without Borders. This means we have more freedom of press now compared to the previous administration.
These proud improvements would not have been possible without the effort and participation of the Rakyat. Here’s to making Malaysia a better nation.
