Beautiful hawksbill turtle , shot in Ladyelliot Island lagoon. She is considered by many to be the most beautiful of sea turtles for her colorful shell. But their population has declined more than 80% in the last century due mainly to the trade of their carapace, but also because of meat and eggs consumption in some asian countries, pollution, and dynamite fishing. 😔.
That’s so sad to see so many species in danger of extinction because of us, humans..
