Sharing the same love of diversity to the fondness of their home country, three popular Malaysian photographers: Daniel Adams, Emma Khoo and John Kam have teamed up to capture the spirit of Malaysia's diverse nature through a short-but-punchy exhibition, ROJAK.

Held at The Bindery, APW Bangsar from 31st August - 2nd September 2018, THE BATIK SERIES, I AM MALAYSIAN and SKINTIGHT are completely different in style and concept, but like rojak, these components come together and only enhance the story. Each expresses "what it means to be Malaysia", with such a modern and relatable zest. ROJAK is sponsored by APW Bangsar, Boldea Creative Sdn Bhd, Gentle Rice Journal,Rent A Pot Landscape, sayaBAKE by Nora, Red's Revenge and J Cinematics Studios (video by Jeremy Lai)

"The Leica Q has been my go-to travel camera for the past 3 years. The fixed 28mm is a perfect focal length to travel with. Wide enough for a landscape, tight enough for a portrait.

This series of three shots I captured while in Sri Lanka speaks to its versatility. For the first image I captured, I realized there was an elephant taking up part of our lane ahead of us; the second and third were while we passed them. The crisp detail down on the tear of the elephant’s eye and the blood on his ear matched the hardened stare of the handler who was a sight that I couldn't get out of my mind. My Q truly captured what it felt like.

When documenting with a Leica I've always felt there is a responsibility to the legacy of the photographers who came before us. I take pride in having carried this Q around the world over the past few years." - Pete Halvorsen

We explored 3 photogenic spots in Macau in a photo challenge with a cheap Taobao camera.

Although Red Market, Lou Lim Ieoc and Guia Lighthouse are great photo spots in Macau, our photographers were only given a cheap camera to take photos with.

We hope that this shows you how to take good pictures with a cheap camera, perhaps you can use some of these photography tips and hacks to improve your photos.
