this full moon was emotional for me in that it was in Pisces and echoed the March full moon. it was time to look at how i’ve grown in the last few months but also to face realities about my own healing journey - whether i had strayed or was on the right path. we often try so hard to do the right thing that it becomes the wrong thing and hurts ourselves. been learning how to better surrender and let go of things and ask for help, so that better energies may enter my life. ✨

翻轉視界 18 Changing Perspective

There's not just one road to the destination, but many roads. You just need to take the little step that’s right in front of you, and then the next one, and a few years down the track, they will seem like massive achievements.

通往目的地的路不止一條，有很多路可走。你只需要邁出眼前這一小步，然後再邁出下一步，幾年下來，將會成為巨大成就。

I didn’t meet my father until I was 6 years old. My parents had a comfortable, middle-class life in Shanghai, or as close as you could get under communism. But they always wanted to live overseas, and just before I was born, my dad came to Sydney to set things up. I don’t know why, but in the end, my mother and I didn’t join him until I was 6.

I ended up having to move school 3 times before I came to Balwyn Primary School, which was relatively multicultural.

After that, I did alright. Music featured very prominently in my life. I had started learning the violin from the age of 2.5 years old and even with all the troubles that were going on in my life, had somehow still kept up with it. As a result, I got a music scholarship to Trinity Grammar School. But even there I used to get into quite a lot of mischief, and would often skip school to go to the movies.

In a blink of an eye, I’ve breastfed for 9 months 💛

Was reluctant to share my BF journey initially because I’ve learned that there are others who simply couldn’t!

I’m one of the lucky ones who are able to biologically, but even so, I still had my fair share of hardships.

If you’re expecting and keen to try breastfeeding, please do your research before your due date 🙏🏻
Real life experience can be very different from theory and it varies vastly between individuals.
Learning where to seek for help might be more useful than learning theory alone 💛

Before you give up, try engaging a lactation consultant. It might seem expensive at first, but more economical in the long run 🙌🏻

Don’t let breastfeeding get in the way of your new amazing motherhood journey :)
Discussing at which point you should let go if things didn’t go as planned before birth with your partner might help to manage expectations when the baby is here 💛

Plant-based meat

Diced carrots

Light soy sauce

? Spicy vodka wholemeal fusilli with sous vide chicken breast

1 onion, diced
2-3 tbsp extra virgin Olive oil
2 cloves of Garlic, peeled
Salt
Pepper
1 can of Tomato paste
Dried Thyme, to taste (optional)
Dried oregano, to taste
Red pepper flakes, to taste
1/3 cup Vodka
1 cup heavy cream
1 lb rigatoni or penne pasta
Parmesan & mozzarella cheese
A knob of butter
Chopped fresh parsley to taste

? Cocoa baked rolled oats

30g rolled oats
7g cocoa powder
1/2 medium banana
2g baking soda
70ml cup milk
A slice of dark chocolate

Bake at 180c for 20 min
