Sniff. I miss this park. I guess that’s how caged up animals like the Sun Bears, feel like when they are removed from their natural habitat 🥺.

With a lifespan of only 25 – 30 years, Sun Bears live their whole lives in fear of being victims of commercial poaching.

The primary reason for the poaching is to supply the demand for parts of Sun Bears that are used in traditional medicine and as a delicacy.

Help eliminate poaching by not buying food or medicine made with Sun Bear body parts.

Malaysians have an opportunity to act, to do the right thing, so let’s make the right decision.

As a Sabahan, I grew up hearing news on Sun Bears. Here a little something I’d like to share with everyone.

Did you know that most farmed bears are kept permanently in cages and some up to 30 years in cages that are so small, that they are unable to turn around or stand on all four legs? Yes, you’re wondering why? It is a cruel farming system designed to extract bile from the gallbladder of living bears to make traditional medicine.

With this RMO creeping into Day 10, I’m already feeling the strain. But at least I am able to roam about my “cage”. And it’s just been barely 2 weeks! These poor Sun Bears don’t have that freedom and are kept there for years in a horrible situation.
