【#閱讀筆記】本地學校非華裔學生持續增加，有南亞裔的，更有歐美的。這裡衍生一個教育課程問題：北京千方百計在港推動「黃皮膚黑頭髮黑眼睛就是中國人」的身份論述，但這套狹隘的種族血緣論述，怎能適用於香港這個多元族群的全球城巿？我們需要的身份論述，是「不分族裔共建香港」的共同體意識。
The number of non-Chinese students has been increasing in local schools including both South Asians and Europeans/Americans. This gives rise to a school curriculum issue: Beijing is aggressively selling a discourse by which “all people with yellow skin, black hair and black eyes are Chinese”, but how can such an ethnic nationalist discourse be applicable to a multi-ethnic and globalized Hong Kong? The national identification discourse that we needs is some form of community consciousness based on "building Hong Kong regardless of ethnicity".
