LoL Worlds 2020 เตรียมจัดอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ เทียบชั้นการแข่งขันกีฬาระดับโลก พร้อมสปอนเซอร์ชื่อดังจากทั่วโลกให้การสนับสนุน และไม่พลาดที่จะมีการแสดงสุดตระการตาสำหรับแฟน ๆ ที่เฝ้ารออยู่เช่นเคย ทั้งพิธีเปิดการแข่ง และศึกตัดสินรอบ Final

เมื่อไม่กี่วันที่ผ่านมา แฟน ๆ LoL คงจะได้เห็นผลงานล่าสุดของทาง Riot (Music) กันแล้วอย่าง "Take Over" โดยนอกจากเป็นชื่อเพลงแล้ว มันยังเป็นสโลแกนสำหรับงาน Worlds 2020 นี้ด้วย

ซึ่งตรงก็ถือว่าตรงกับความเป็นจริงอยู่ไม่น้อย เพราะงานในปีนี้จะไม่มีทั้ง T1 แชมป์โลก 3 สมัยผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ หรือแม้แต่ Funplus Phoenix (LPL) แชมป์ปีล่าสุดที่พลาดท่าไม่ได้เข้ารอบมาในปีนี้เช่นกัน รวมถึงทีมใหญ่ ๆ อย่าง Cloud9 (LCS), AHQ (PCS), และ Inivtus gaming (LPL) ต่างก็ไม่มีชื่อในรายการด้วย ทำให้มีนี้มีโอกาสสูงมากที่ผู้ชนะจะเป็นทีมใหม่ที่ไม่เคยเป็นแชมป์มาก่อนนั่นเอง

ในส่วนการจัดงาน ในปีนี้จะเป็นปีแรกของ Worlds ที่จะมีการปรากฏชื่อและแบรนด์ของผู้สนับสนุนในเกม ในรูปแบบของธงและป้ายประดับทั่ว Summoner Rift เหมือนกับการแข่งขันกีฬาระดับโลกต่าง ๆ ที่มีอยู่ ไล่ตั้งแต่ผู้สนับสนุนหลักอย่าง Mercedes Benz ที่ยกระดับจากการสนับสนุนลีกภูมิภาคมาเป็นการแข่ง Worlds อย่างเต็มตัว ตามมาด้วยแบรนด์ชื่อดังอีกหลายเจ้า ทั้ง Secret lab, Spotify, Alienware, Master Card, Oppo และ Redbull เป็นต้น

ในส่วนของการแสดงนั้นก็เรียกได้ว่าห่ายห่วง เพราะได้มีการเตรียมตัวกันมาอย่างดีโดนเฉพาะพิธีเปิดและปิดการแข่งขัน (รอบ Final) ในส่วนหลักก็จะเป็นเพลงของ K/DA ที่จะได้ "Seraphine" นักร้องหน้าใหม่ปริศนามาร่วมวงด้วยในคราวนี้ และเพื่อความยิ่งใหญ่สมการรอคอย ปีนี้ก็จะมีการแสดงในรูปแบบ AR และ VR ในความละเอียดระดับ 3K 60FPS และเร็นเดอร์แบบ Realtime เพื่อไม่ให้น้อยหน้าพิธีเปิดในปี 2017 และการแสดงของ K/DA ในปี 2018 ที่ได้สร้างความประทับใจแก่คนดูทั่วโลกจนถึงทุกวันนี้

ท้ายที่สุด ในส่วนของการจัดงาน แม้จะข่าวเรื่องการจำกัดจำนวนผู้ชมในงานเพื่อความปลอดภัยจาก COVID-19 แต่ก็มีมาตรการสำหรับรองรับในเรื่องนี้เอาไว้แล้ว โดยในรายงานแรก ๆ ของ Worlds 2020 ระบุว่า ในปีผู้ชมทั้งในสนามและที่ชมผ่านหน้าจอจะได้รับประสบการณ์ที่แปลกใหม่และน่าตื่นเต้นอย่างแน่นอน งานมีกำหนดจัดที่เซี่ยงไฮ้เพียงเมืองเดียว เพื่อจัดในลักษณะของ Bubble ที่ผู้เกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมดจะเดินทางไปมาในพื้นที่ที่กำหนดไว้ท่านั้นเพื่อความปลอดภัย ซึ่งจะต่างกับการแข่งในปีอื่น ๆ ที่สถานที่จัดจะวนไปเรื่อย ๆ ในประเทศเจ้าภาพของปีนั้น
