台北慈濟醫院研究部臨床試驗中心主任暨胸腔內科主治醫師黃俊耀主任指出，肺癌可分成小細胞癌（Small-cell lung cancer）與非小細胞癌（Non-small-cell lung cancer），大部分患者屬於非小細胞癌。而在非小細胞癌中，以長在肺部周邊的肺腺癌最為常見，其中患者又以女性患者為多數，沒有抽菸習慣者也占一定比例。

The new medicine Tagrisso for people with aggressive non-small cell lung cancer could be covered by Taiwan's national health insurance (NHI) system as early as April to help patients with the high cost of the treatment, the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) announced Tuesday.
Lung cancer happens because some cells in the lungs undergo abnormal changes due to mutations or genetic alterations, which transforms normal cells to uncontrollable growth that leads to cancerous cells.
There are different types of treatment options available and it all depends on several factors including :
• The type of lung cancer you have (small cell or non-small cell)
• The size and position of the cancer.
• How advanced your cancer is (the stage) and finally,
• Your overall health.
Deciding what treatment is best for you can be a difficult choice, so do speak to your doctor for the best recommendation.
