A friend told me about ReLIFE today, a Japanese anime revolves around 27 years old man who are unemployed and lost as most jobs "doesn't fit his highest potential". One day he was given a job opportunity, but first he needs to go through an experiment to rejuvenate him by 10 years. In the process, fix whatever is wrong with the subject's life.
My friend read the comic when he was a NEET(Not in Education, Employment or Training) a year ago and it did help him to get up and find his way later. (No we rarely go for chicken soup) Sometimes I am impressed with those who could find their path smoothly. Graduated, get a job, fall in love, get married and get kids. While I myself do go through the period of being a NEET last time. The time when you were just so lost that you stop doing or trying anything, coz you know you have it enough. Staying at home for weeks or months watching lots of korean series or frequently hitting gym. Avoiding yourself to think about future as it could be so much scary.
But I realized being a NEET periodically did help me to sort out my way more clearly. I managed to figure out what I don't want, who I am and what I really want along the way. Man, I wish to rejuvenate by 10 years in real life and fix all the mistakes in the past when i was a NEET. But in real life you just can't do that but in fact learn from hard way. There's a quote I love in the anime. "Is getting of all the thorns in someone's path really what's best for them? While they are still young enough to be allowed to trip and fall, it's important for them to learn the pain from it and how to pick themselves up again".
