orange the world 2022 在 Khairy Jamaluddin Facebook 的最佳解答
I recently announced that the National Sports Council will form a new unit to look into the massively growing sport - esports, as preparation for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
This sport is already recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia and for the first time ever, esports will be included as one of the medal events in the 2022 Games. Esports will also be featured as a demonstration sport at the Asian Games next year in Jakarta.
Locally, we will organise a national esports championship to coincide with the upcoming 2018 Sukma in Perak.
Esports is rapidly growing globally and Malaysia cannot be left behind, especially when we already have some of the most successful gamers in the world such as MidOne, Ah-fu, Mushi and NaNa in Dota 2; Veki in League of Legends; aimannn in CS: GO; AmTuah and Shige in FIFA; and Chuan in Streetfighter V.
Back in 2013 when Team Orange had just won 3rd place in The International, I met them in my office to present them Team Malaysia harimau tracksuits, marking the beginning of the Ministry's recognition of the esports industry. We have come a long way since then and I hope everyone will rally behind the gamers who will eventually represent Malaysia at the Games.
The Ministry and the National Sports Council also want to get everyone involved and we welcome ideas, suggestions and thoughts from those who want to see Team Malaysia succeed in esports. Email them over to webinfo@nsc.gov.my. We want to hear them.
Majulah sukan untuk negara.
