This year's Skechers Friendship Walk brought us on a scenic 4km journey as we marched across iconic landmarks like the Merlion, MBS, Esplanade, Art Science Museum, Helix Bridge and more. It was a reminder of how beautiful our city is and how thankful we are to call this our home.
The best part was enjoying the walk with the hubby and the kids, who are the people I love and treasure most, and I earnestly hope we can be best friends forever. We took the walk at a leisurely pace in wanting to encourage the kids to finish the walk on their own and not asked to be carried, stopping along the way to take in the wonderful sights and even having an ice cream too. Together, we conquered all the obstacles including a wheelbarrow race, low wall and tire course, and were one of the last to reach the finishing line but hey, we did it and I'm proud of all of them.
Even after the sun had set, we stayed on in the "kampung" villlage to play games and activities like carrom, tic tac toe, ring toss, Bishi Bashi, three-legged race and even the iconic 'dragon' slide (an inflatable one lar, but it was still a hit with the kids). See my stories for more happenings.
Thanks to @skecherssg for the new kicks that kept us happy and comfortable during the entire walk. Asher is wearing the Boys' S Lights shoes, the girls are in their Energy Light shoes while the hubby and I are in the Gowalk 5 series.
Can't wait for the next family walk where we will create even more precious memories and build a healthy lifestyle too.
