⚠️ 10 ĐIỀU CÓ THỂ BẠN CHƯA BIẾT VỀ LISTENING ⚠️

1) Section 1 sẽ không còn ví vụ ở đầu, mà vào bài nói luôn. Nên các bạn để ý tỉnh táo làm bài, đừng ham gạch chân keywords quá.

2) Người ta nói đáp án luôn nằm sau những từ như "But, However, For example, In fact..." là không hoàn toàn đúng. Đôi khi đáp án nằm ở trước những từ đó, nên bạn đừng chủ quan mà phải nghe hết 1 câu để biết họ đang nói gì và câu hỏi là gì. Chỉ là hãy chú ý những từ trên, vì nó giúp định vị đáp án.

3) Section 4 thường đọc khá chậm. Thực tế trong 4 section, mình vẫn thấy Sec 4 là người ta đọc chậm nhất và rất rõ ràng, dễ nghe chứ không nhanh như lời đồn.

4) Section 1 và 2 đôi khi lại hay sai nhất. Không biết các bạn sao chứ mình toàn sai Sec 1 và 2, thực tế lúc đi thi IELTS, Sec 1 thì khó tập trung nhất vì mới vào nghe, còn Sec 2 thì đọc nhanh quá nghe ko kịp. Nên đừng chủ quan và cũng đừng so sánh Sec 1,2 dễ hơn 3,4 nhé.

5) Phần điền từ dạng đánh vần (Spelling) coi vậy mà lại dễ sai với nhiều bạn, rất rất rất dễ bị rối hoặc bị miss nếu ko tập trung dù chỉ 1 giây. Theo mình thì đi thi Listening dễ hơn với phần Spelling vì keyboard (bàn phím) trước mặt nên chỉ cần nghe + gõ đúng ký tự đó vào.

6) Thi Listening trên máy tính không có 10 phút cuối Transfer như thi giấy, nhưng có thao tác kéo thả tiện hơn thi giấy, có đồng hồ để xem giờ, tăng giảm volume theo ý mình nên tiện hơn.

7) Cho những bạn hay bị lạc trôi phần Multiple Choice: audio sẽ đọc gần như y chang câu hỏi (câu thông tin statement trước đáp án A,B,C,D ấy) giúp các bạn ko bị lost vì thường họ sẽ ko paraphrase nhiều ở câu statement (nếu có cũng là những từ đơn giản)

8) Nếu các bạn thấy Mutiple Choice có 3 đáp án A,B,C chẳng hạn. Mà trong audio họ nói A and B, A with B (tức 2 đáp án này ĐỒNG ĐẲNG, đi cùng với nhau trong cùng 1 câu, 1 vế) thì khả năng cao đáp án đúng sẽ là C.

9) Bạn không cần phải nghe quá nhiều audio Listening IELTS mới là luyện nghe, mỗi ngày mình chỉ nghe 1 đề, còn lại mình cày phim trên Netflix và clip ngắn trên Youtube về những gì mình muốn coi (tất nhiên là với Engsub hoặc ko sub, mở Vietsub hoặc từ điển những từ ko hiểu), tiện học từ luôn. Hãy xem những gì bạn thích nhé!!

10) Thật ra những anh/chị/thầy/cô ở level cao họ ko học Listening theo tips, họ nghe - hiểu rồi chọn đáp án thôi, vì họ đã quá quen với việc nghe-bằng-tiếng-Anh và trình độ của họ cao nên nghe - hiểu IELTS cũng như nghe - hiểu 1 đoạn hội thoại tiếng Anh thông thường thôi. Nên mình khuyên các bạn nên nghe thật nhiều, practice makes perfect. Đừng quá phụ thuộc vào những tips mà bỏ quên điều quan trọng nhất, đó là NỘI DUNG của bài nghe, bạn nhe.

You can of course add some toppings. It was my son's request that he does not need anything other than potatoes. haha

Sōmen (素麺) is very thin Japanese noodles made of wheat flour. The noodles are usually served cold in summer with a Dashi flavored tasty dipping sauce called Mentsuyu (めんつゆ).

Potato Somen Noodles Recipe

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: as much as you want

Ingredients:
potatoes
Mentsuyu (dipping sauce)
condiments of your choice

Directions:
1. Wash and peel potatoes. Put water in a bowl. Using a slicer, slice potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water to remove extra starch.
2. In boiling water, add salt, then blanch the potatoes for 15 seconds. Drain in a strainer and quickly wash with cold water before the potato strips get soft with remaining heat.
3. Dip in diluted Mentsuyu (as instructed on its package) to eat.

((Somen Dipping Sauce from scratch))
* 300ml Dashi broth (using packaged dashi powder saves time)
* 4 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
* 4 tbsp. soy sauce
In a pot, bring Dashi broth, Mirin, and soy sauce to a boil. You can also microwave until it comes to a boil. Cool in the fridge until ready to serve.

So happy to have a chance to collab with RuRu on this song. The piano accompany part and the melody from the original version made it hard to recreate this song with the original atmosphere for one person on a single piano, so I didn't made a video for this piece back then. You can easily make this dish by cooking frozen food stocks. I used frozen Gyoza, broccoli, and Shimeji mushrooms. You can of course use your favorite vegetables 😉

Tomato Gyoza Nabe (Hot Pot with Dumplings) Recipe

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 40min
Number of servings: 4

Ingredients:

300g (10.5oz.) onion
200g (7.0oz.) frozen broccoli
200g (7.0oz.) Shimeji mushrooms
400g (14oz.) canned diced tomatoes
600ml water
3 consommé cubes https://amzn.to/2IIRMfI
2 tbsp. olive oil
salt and pepper
grated parmesan cheese if you like

Directions:
1. Slice onion into wedges.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pot. Add onion wedges and saute until tender.
3. Add canned diced tomatoes, water, and consommé cubes. Simmer until hot.
4. Add Shimeji mushrooms, Gyoza, and broccoli. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve in a dish and dust with grated parmesan cheese if you like.
