這時要一併附上這個常被問到的Q&A給有相同疑問的朋友們參考:
【Q: "同一本繪本應該買英文版的還是中文版的繪本呢?" 】
A: 這個問題從來沒有標準答案,主要還是要看大家想入手某一本繪本的動機是什麼. 例如: 當英文字型/字體的設計和排版也屬於一本繪本的風格呈現時,那入手英文版是肯定要的,因為這樣能直接感受作者/繪者的原創性,也更有收藏的價值,像是 "Mommy,Pick me up! " 就是個例子(它在幾年前絕版了). 另外, 如果一本繪本在英文文字上的編排有它刻意設計的地方(像是運用了很多自然發音的組合;常見字;押韻的句子)那這時也會推薦入手英文版的,因為這樣的一本書不只可以當繪本共讀,之後也可以讓孩子當作練習英文閱讀的選書,像是"Follow Me" 就是. 最後, 如果一本英文繪本它的故事或是主題非常的吸引孩子,那有中文版出現時也會很值得入手一本 (但是中文字體的大小必須是讓孩子的眼睛讀起來不吃力的,這點非常的重要!!!),因為有趣的故事會讓孩子想一聽再聽,一讀再讀,這對正在學習拼音認讀中文字的孩子們來說會是個很棒的選擇,像是"The Cave" 就是. 它的中文書名是: "山洞裡的小不點". 附上這三本繪本的影音檔紀錄:
