📍 Wat Huay Pla Kung
This is temple is located on top of a hill in Chiang Rai city’s Rim Kok sub-district, and it is surrounded by other green hills that are pleasing to gaze on.
The temple’s highlight is the 9-storey Phon Choke Tham Chedi pagoda, which is a unique structure that cannot be found anywhere else in this country, with the architecture being an artistic blend of Chinese and Thai styles.
Another highlight is the biggest image of the goddess of mercy Guan Yin in Thailand. This image is 79 meters tall, equivalent to a 25- to 26-storey building.
And the majestic dragons sculpture along the steps leading to the Guan Yin Temple.

When I think about farmstays, countries like New Zealand, Australia and Taiwan naturally come to mind. These are the places I would love to bring my kids because they are such animal lovers and love to spend time interacting with every kind of creature. Alas, travelling with the brood means that every vacation for us is like spending a bomb so in order to cut down on such luxury expenses, we try to visit nearby countries whenever possible.
So there I was, looking for a possible farmstay experience for the kids which would allow us to have a somewhat rustic experience yet not having to spend a fortune just to get there. Filmed and recorded during my trip to South New Zealand back in May 2019. It was autumn season and most of the streets are full with beautiful autumn foliages. We rented a campervan that can accommodate 6 people, and it was our home for 9 days in the south island. We stored our food, cooked, peed, charged batteries and slept in the van throughout the whole journey.
The only regret I had is I do not have as many footages as I wanted due to many non-flight zones. As there are airports in almost every places we had went, the non-flight coverage area was huge and I was unable to let my drone to take off, hence aerial footages were limited. However, we were blessed with clear skies for few nights, we were able to locate the milkyway with our bare eyes.
This film is made up of timelapse footages consist of 2,265 pictures with more than 8 hours total shooting time, and with more than 60 video clips.

Finally get to visit one of the top 3 dream places in my bucket list this year. New Zealand is nothing short of amazing landscapes that you must visit atleast once in your lifetime. We spent 10 day exploring the South Island and driving around with a Campervan that can accommodate six adults.
