They Don’t Know What They are Doing
“When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.” (Luke 23:33-34 WEB)
In an amazing display of forgiveness, Jesus prayed for the Father to forgive the ones who crucified Him, saying that they don’t know what they are doing.
Placing them under ignorance of their sin, the penalty is made more lenient.
In life, it is inevitable that people will do things that offend you.
However, we can be like Jesus and pray for our enemies, saying, “It’s okay, they don’t know what they are doing.”
When someone acts sinfully, it is because they have areas of unbelief and ignorance. They haven’t risen to the level of revelation which empowers them to walk like God.
If you already have the revelation about it, just praise God that He gave you the privilege of understanding it, while that other person remains blind to that truth.
As a being at a higher level of revelation, be the bigger person and forgive those who offend you. You can do it because God has raised you to a higher level. On the other hand, they don’t know what they are doing.
It is a pitiable thing to live like the devil when there is so much joy, rest, and blessing found in living like God.
How can someone who still remains in the dark about a truth walk in it? They can’t, so don’t hold it against them.
“Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse...Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:14, 17-21 WEB)
So when you encounter such a situation, just overcome the evil done to you by responding with good. Say, “Abba God, forgive, save and bless them for they don’t know what they are doing. They are like sheep without a shepherd to lead and show them the way. In Jesus’ name, I freely receive manifold restoration for whatever losses I have suffered. Amen!”
I believe God will be smiling and extra pleased when you choose to do this!

Abandon Anxiety and Pray Powerfully
“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Anxiety comes from keeping your problems and trying to solve it yourself.
That’s why Paul taught us to pray and give thanks in everything. That is handing your problem to God and letting Him supply the solution.
No wonder you’ll have the supernatural peace of God. The burden is lifted from your shoulders and the peace assures you that God Himself is handling the matter!
“Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out; for the man will not rest until he finishes the matter today.” (Ruth 3:18 AMPC)
Sometimes the hardest thing to do in an urgent situation is to sit still. It takes faith!
But that’s what the follow-up action to prayer should be. Like Ruth, you told your heavenly Boaz your request, now let Him finish the matter for you.
Jesus will not rest until it’s settled. He is eager to help you and He never gets tired anyway!
If you pray and you’re still worrying, panicking and speaking like you’re doomed, it’s as good as not praying. You don’t really believe that God will help you.
Don’t rush the process of praying. There’s no point stating your request when you only see a vision of defeat in your heart.
For children of God, the victory happens from the inside out. Not outside in.
To change your outward circumstances, God often changes what you believe on the inside first.
It’s the inside that controls and changes what you eventually see on the outside.
Picture the desired outcome clearly in your mind’s eye, vividly with as much emotion and details as possible.
What does it smell, look, taste, feel, sound like? Even walk around the scene and view it from all angles.
Notice more details and make it seem so real. Using faith, you’re building the substance of things hoped for.
Do it until you’re filled with hope and expectancy in the Lord. When you reach this state, then pray in faith!
