【旅行隨筆】第一次大白天喝伏特加喝到吐😨 一切都要從昨天從 Khiva 搭乘 450公里的共乘車子開始說起...🚘

不知道為什麼本來查到的火車班次是因為淡季沒開，還是票賣完了。我們必須從古城 Khiva 搭40分鐘的共乘車（USD$1）到下個大城市 Urgench（中途碰到一位剛好今天要飛要去蘭州留學三年的男子，用很不標準的中文跟我們對話～）🚘

接著再搭乘每人 USD$10 的車資前往下個距離這裡430KM 的主要城鎮 Bukhara 🚕 共乘車子就是這樣，有時候你是最後一組客人，一上車就可以走了😆

等到我們司機接到其他四位客人，已經過了一個多小時了...我們九點半就離開了旅館，十二點才發車...重點是私人 Taxi 才 USD$40🤣 人家說在中亞就是要共乘車子才有趣，果然不錯...😅

下午我們停到一家餐廳，直接進去廚房！廚房內居然有個巨大的魚池，裡面的魚都超大！在英文不通的狀況下，真不知道這是要買魚還是吃午餐😐 「一公斤五美金。」司機用計算機打出來。由於當下我以為要買魚回家，馬上說 NO。

於是大家又上車開到另一家餐廳，又直接進去廚房看魚！這家餐廳跟前家比起來根本沒人，於是我們又回到第一家😅

「跟當地人吃應該不會被坑了吧...」我們悄聲與對方說。

一坐下去就麵包、茶水、居然還有沾麵包的番茄醬（以前都沒有）🍅 這時烏茲別克叔叔們點了伏特加，想說可以消毒，就喝了一杯😛

應該是說他們是用飲茶大小的碗來喝酒，而且都是全滿。剛喝下去還好，接著不知道為什麼就被灌了四杯😅 完全沒料到後勁超強 😂 叔叔還指著可樂的顏色說我的臉跟可樂一樣紅了😳

酒量好的 York 當然沒事啦！連續開了三瓶 😲 這時叔叔從一個小包裝拿出一些葉子，要他把嘴巴張開放到舌頭後面。「像這樣子嗎？」他大嘴巴的說。

突然他神色一變，表情變化多端。「天啊！我完全酒醒，這該不會是古柯鹼吧？」「古柯鹼應該是粉不是葉子吧...🍃」

叔叔在耳朵旁比了旋轉的手勢，York 說他整個耳朵在響，趕快跑去洗手台吐掉😝 而烏茲別克叔叔們都在大笑，很滿意的看著我們。看來我們成功不靠語言就交了朋友？叔叔們不時關心我如何，告訴我等下上車就會直接睡到目的地🚘

確實沒錯... 我站起來出去外面透透氣，不到兩秒就把食物吐出來了！我的魚...😭 而且是廁所都還沒有走到，就吐在餐廳的花圃上...🌹

接下來的車程我真的是睡死...醒來頭也超痛的... 這餐真的吃太飽，兩人吃一公斤的魚肉含酒才 USD$7！果然在古城被坑很大 🙄 就這樣... 結束了我們在烏茲別克第一個有趣的體驗😂

First time getting drink on Vodka in broad daylight ☀️ Projectile vomited across a flower bed😨🌹 Slept through a 450KM car ride while walking up with massive headache 🚘

Uzbeks are crazy drinkers! Never again!!!!

So the day started with us taking a shared taxi from Khiva to Urgench for USD$1 each on a 40 min car ride🚖

Then we negotiated another shared taxi to Bukhara which is 430KM away for USD$10 per person. As we were the first passengers, we waited for an hour before the driver found 4 other ppl then he's finally ready to go!

Mind you, a whole private cab is only USD$40...😐 However, they say shared taxi are part of Central Asia experience and they not wrong🤣

We visited two restaurants along the way and headed straight into their kitchen😶 Had no idea what's happening as no one speaks English but there were MANY fishes swimming inside this large pond😲🐟

Turns out they were deciding which restaurant was fresher. One kilogram of fish was USD$5, this clearly shows that our food in Khiva was a rip off🙄

The fried fishes were delicious but the highlight was probably the local men kept pouring vodka for us and guess we bonded that way...???😂

York had like 7 BOWLS of straight vodka while I had 4 😆 Had to run outside to use the toilet but really I was vomiting out the food...🤢

Between 4 or 5 of us, we finished 3 bottles of Vodka 😲 No joke... THEN... this man got out a packet of tobacco (?) Or leaves of some sort and told York to put it underneath his tongue 👅

Within a few seconds he sobered up! With ears ringing through his ears👂 It was quite crazy LOL. He whispered to me asking me if it was cocaine, I'm like I thought cocaines are powders not leaves???🌿

Anyways... We truly bonded with the them thanks to York who's able to tolerate alcohol 😛

Didn't get rip off for food as those fresh fishes were only USD$7 for two of us including bread, tea and drinks🍸 Finally, a decent meal in Uzbekistan after so many days!!!

Slept like a baby in the car ride...No shit 😂

Ps. I think "York" means "No" in Uzbek, in Russian "Neh!"

We the undersigned, as deeply concerned members of the global academic community,

1. Condemn the use of disproportionate force and retaliatory brutality by the Hong Kong Police against students in university campuses in Hong Kong. In particular, we are outraged by the unauthorised entry, extensive deployment of tear gas and violent intimidation in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Polytechnic University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong on 11th and 12th November, 2019.

2. Condemn the use of unjustified violence against protesters across Hong Kong in all other contexts. Including, most recently, the firing of live rounds at point-blank range against protesters in Sai Wan Ho, and the repeated attempts by a motorcycle officer to run-over protesters in Kwai Fong on 11th November 2019, both of which are in clear violation of the Police General Orders Force Procedures Manual.

3. Condemn the continued use of neo-Fascist language by the Hong Kong Police, particularly the consistent reference to protesters and supporters of democracy as ‘cockroaches’, that contribute to furthering vitriolic hatred between all factions in the Hong Kong community.

4. Urge leaders of Hong Kong universities to release clear statements rejecting the entry of police into university campuses, supporting the freedom of assembly of students and staff, and reaffirming the sacrosanct responsibility of all universities to protect academic freedom and provide a safe space for all students to express their views.

5. Demand the Hong Kong Police to cease all acts of police brutality immediately, suspend officers who have committed disproportionate acts of violence with immediate effect, and initiate legal charges where necessary against officers who have violated the law.

6. Demand the Hong Kong government to set up an independent inquiry into the use of force in the protests since June 2019, chaired by an impartial judge. In particular, we believe the inquiry should have the power to summon witnesses, collect a coherent and representative body of evidence, and independently validate police accounts, above and beyond the restricted scope and power of the Independent Police Complaints Council.

We stand in solidarity with the Hong Kong people. We believe the defence of academic freedom, the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and association, and the responsibility to protect the safety of our students are universal causes common to all.

作為全球學術界的成員，我們深切關注香港事態發展，並簽名作以下聲明/請願：

1. 譴責香港警察對香港大學校園內的學生使用不相稱的武力和報復性殘暴行為。我們尤其對2019年11月11日至12日內警方在未經授權之下進入香港中文大學、香港理工大學和香港大學，並於以上大學及香港城市大學校園發射大量催淚煙和暴力恐嚇等部署感到極度憤怒。

2. 譴責在其他情況下香港警察對香港示威者使用不合理的暴力行為，包括最近有警員在西灣河向示威者近距離以實彈射擊、以及於2019年11月11日在葵芳一交警駕駛電單車企圖高速撞向示威者。這兩項事件都明顯違反警察通例之《程序手冊》。

3. 譴責香港警察持續使用新法西斯語言，特別是將示威者和民主支持者普遍統稱為「蟑螂」，在某些情況下還就學生示威者死亡高呼「開香檳慶祝」，加劇香港社會各派之間的極端仇恨。

4. 敦促香港各大學的領袖發表明確聲明，拒絕警察進入大學校園，支持學生和教職工的集會自由，並重申所有大學的神聖職責，即保護學術自由並為所有學生提供安全的空間發表意見。

5. 要求香港警方立即停止所有警察暴行，立即將實施暴力行為的人員停職，並在必要時對違反法律的人員提起法律訴訟。

6. 要求香港政府就自2019年6月起於多次抗議活動中使用之武力問題成立獨立調查委員會展開獨立調查，該調查委員會必須由一名公正的法官主持。我們特別認為，該獨立調查委員會必須有權召集證人、收集連貫且具有代表性的證據，並獨立驗證警察的記錄，比現時獨立監察警方處理投訴委員會（監警會）的權力限制及範圍更廣。

我們堅定地與香港人站在一起，並作出聲援。我們認為捍衛學術自由、言論自由、新聞自由、集會和結社自由，以及保護學生安全是所有人的普世價值。

小茉莉唸繪本《Dog in a Dress and Run, Tom, Run!》

有持續 Follow 茉莉家的應該都知道，
在我們家午睡前會有半小時的唸英文時間 + 半小時的中文故事時間；
晚上睡覺前則是半小時的唸注音時間 + 半小時的英文故事時間。
中午的唸英文時間茉莉就是選幼兒英語主教材或讀本，
讀本就會逐字逐句跟著媽媽一起唸；
晚上的英文故事時間就是由爸爸媽媽中英搭配說故事，
重點單字才會挑出來講，並請孩子一起唸，
如果是已經讀很多次的英文繪本，
就會用全英文的方式講故事，重點單字與句型挑出來詢問孩子是否了解意思。

不過我發現其實孩子的記憶力真的很強，
雖然每天會挑不同的英文繪本或讀本來聽，
但是唸多次了也能記得一清二楚，
茉莉念的這本讀本應該念不到 15 次，
但是許多文法與介係詞用法就藉由閱讀與聽故事自然的記起來了，
像是第三人稱動詞加 s，
over, into, across, under… 等用法也搭配的正確，
也許念起句子來並沒有那麼順暢，
不過我覺得以這個年齡層的孩子可以看著圖片邊想出句子搭配字詞茉莉麻就覺得很佩服了～
