故事：大群風漂龍被目擊到飛離古代樹森林，調查團決定展開追蹤調查，乘上第3期團的熱氣球越洋渡海，發現新大陸「永霜凍土」。
魔物：眾所期待的轟龍回歸！風漂龍的特殊個體「霜翼風漂龍」亦會登場。
據點：全新設立的前線據點「月辰」備有與星辰相當的調查所需設備，但更加方便！獵人亦可以遊玩猜順序的小遊戲，幫助「蒸氣機關管理所」生產蒸氣，提供維持據點必需的動力。

Story: A flock of Legiana were spotted fleeing from the Ancient Forest. The Research Commission decided to board the Third Fleet's airship and crossed the sea in pursuit. What they found past the rough seas was a new landmass: Hoarfrost Reach.
Monsters: fan-favourite monster - Tigrex is returning in Iceborne! Shrieking Legiana, a Legiana variant will also make its debut.
Headquarter: Seliana, a new base built as the headquarters for investigations in the Hoarfrost Reach, is complete with a variety of useful facilities and features to rival those of Astera with higher efficiency. Hunters can perform in a mini-game to make steam to power the rest of the facilities in the new HQ!
