Press Conference for I am the face Grand Finale Launching

For the past two decades, there has been a face that has been synonymous with realising dreams, exuding grace and achieving success. A face we proudly call our own, our inspiration, our pride, our celebrity supermodel, Amber Chia. The time has come, to embark on a quest in search for the next face of Asia.

When Chia organised the Ford Supermodel of the World Model Search in 2009, her vision was to create a platform for the next generation of models to learn and gain exposure, locally and internationally.

In 2010, she started Amber Chia Academy, which has graduated over 2,000 students to date.In 2011 she envisioned a new kind of model search in conjunction with the Korea Model Association to help propel young models to the global stage, the “Asia New Face Model Search”, which seeks models that not only have the potential to be the next fashion icon, but the next celebrity star.

Over the past 8 years, this model search competition has been grown to over 30 countries in Asia.For the first time, we will be organising a regional finals called, “Face Of Asia-Pacific” in 2018, which includes models from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In 2019, we expect this contingency to extend to Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines as well.In 2018, the Face of Asia-Pacific model search aims to look for the next face of Asia that embodies not just the qualities to be a supermodel, but possesses the talent and passion to be in the entertainment spotlight as well.

In today’s digital age, the contestants must also be able to kick up a storm on social media networks, as well as possessing the natural flair to own the centre of attraction at public events.

The live auditions to select the finalists for Malaysia took place on the 1st of April at Amber Chia Academy, with over 300 registrations.

Our judges include Amber Chia (Franchise Holder of Face of MaIaysia), Raulen Lee (CEOof Face of Asia-Pacific),Anuar Faizal (Fashion Designer) and Jeisey Giam (2018 Face Of Asia Grand Prize Winner).

6 finalists from Malaysia were selected to join the other 18 finalists from Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan to take part in the grand finale which will be held at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Friday the 13th of April, 2018, from 7pm to 10pm.

One female winner and one male winner will be selected from each country to represent their respective countries for the grand finals in Seoul, South Korea on 5 May 2018.

One female and one male will also be selected as the winners of the 2018 Face Of Asia -Pacific. The gala dinner will serve 50 tables of the elite of the fashion and beauty industry, from professionals and clients to models and celebrities.

One of the press releases I did for Super GT! =D

It was a night of fun and celebration as the organizer of this year’s Super GT Queen beauty pageant invited everyone who had played even the smallest role in the event to an after party at The Stage, Avenue K on the 7th of July. From sponsors to supporters, presenter Engine Up thanked everyone for their amazing support and belief in the organizer , and for being behind the team from the beginning, making the event such a success.

Among the VVIPs who were at the by-invite only party were international celebrities Miss Noriko Ohno (Ms Earth Japan 2006), Miss Maiko Mori (Ms Tourism International Japan 2011), Miss Amanda Leong (Ms Tourism International Singapore 2011), Mr Wilson Tan (Stylo Model of the Year 2012), Miss Simone Teh (International Model & Professional Catwalk Trainer) and Mr Alex San (Song Composer & Writer, one of the judge from Astro Talents Quest), just to name a few.

Miss Alicia Oh of JPM Motorsport, who were the main organizer for SUPER GT 2012, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors, partners, media, judges and the team that made the event one of the most talked about events of the year.

A special appearance by Super GT Queen 2012 Winner Julie Tan & 2nd Runner Up Mico Lee were one of the highlights of the evening, with Julie performing a burlesque dance to the delight of the crowd. Goodie bags were given out at the door, and the winner of Female Best Dressed was awarded with Kiss Me Japanese cosmetics worth RM300, while the Best Dressed Male went home with Onitsuka Tiger / Acsis Sportswear worth RM350. Highlights of the event were shown on screens, giving everyone a chance to reminisce about the 3 month journey of hard work and play. A sports car parade and funky tunes by DJ Monkey, DJ Funkzu and MC Terry T then proceeded to heat up the night.

Each of the 5 finalists who graced the event Julie Tan, Mico Lee, Yumi Meiki, Charissa Chong, Leely Kon were also presented with a beautiful Swarovski necklace by Jason & Berry of De Beads Enterprise, who came all the way down from Penang to show his support.

The sweat, the tears and the sleepless nights were definitely worth it, as proven by the smiles, hugs and laughter at the end of an unforgettable journey. Now let’s all take a well-deserved rest before pumping it up for an even bigger and better Super GT Queen 2013! Your continuous support means so much to us, and we look forward to having more fun with you next year!

Lee Min Ho in Malaysia (28 September 2014)

Thanks to OSIM (M) Sdn Bhd, fans had their chance to meet the newest ambassador of Osim's latest lifestyle product- Osim uDiva; Lee Min Ho live in Malaysia at the KLCC Convention Center earlier yesterday. Being one of the top hottest South Korean Male Celebrities, Lee Min-ho rose to fame with his roles in popular South Korean TV series/dramas such as “Boys Over Flowers” and “The Heirs”.

He was also a recipient to prestigious awards such as the Most Popular Star Award in the SBS Drama Awards and the Best Actor Award at the Korea Drama Festival, thus putting him as a heart throb to many kpop and kdrama fans from all over the globe.

Lee Min Ho, who was in Singapore yesterday arrived at KLCC convention center to greet his fans previous day with obvious tired spelled all over his face. Despite the tight schedule and tiredness, he professionally portrayed a good sport and was fantastic on the stage when interacting with his fans and the crowd.

This private event drew fans from all over South East Asia and the lucky hand full get to see their idol in action. Although making a short appearance of close to 30 minutes, the event was a successful one with everyone giving their best cooperation and TP Lim (emcee of the day) certainly did a fabulous job keeping the show smooth and best at its peak at all time.
