今天我們要學一個英文用語：
英文用語：etc. 是 et cetera 的簡寫，意思是：等等，以及其他 (=and so on; and so forth)
英文解釋：used at the end of a list to indicate that other items of the same class or type should be considered or included
用法解說：etc. 原來的拉丁文 et cetera / etcetera (兩種方式都可以)；用法相當於中文列舉之後用「等等」，表示尚有同類但不再列舉出來。注意發音，連接發音網頁時，請往下拉，可以看到兩種發音的音檔，請多聽幾遍。雖說這個用語大都用在書面，但口說也常聽到。etc. 是否要有縮寫點，根據朗文字典，美式用法有縮寫點，英式用法沒有(Mr. 美式有縮寫點，但英式Mr沒有縮寫點)。etc. 前不要再用and，因為et的拉丁文就是and的意思，再加上and是多餘的。
例句：
Ex1: I brought onions, tomatoes, eggs, etc.
(我帶了洋蔥、蕃茄、雞蛋等等。)
Ex2: Tennis, soccer, baseball, etc., are outdoor games.
(網球、足球、棒球等等是戶外比賽。)
