The grandeur that is the Angkor Architectural park, spanning a few hundreds of kilometers, is perhaps only matched in scale by the brutality of the Khmer Rouge genocide in the late 1970's that wiped out one fourth of the country's population. And thus the perfect contrast of Cambodia's rich history is formed.
On the left, one of the many corridors of the Bayon, key sites of the Angkor complex, known for its former rich decorations and architecture.
And on the right, a walkway built from a series of hastily punctured walls connecting former classrooms turned makeshift interrogation rooms and death cells at Toul Sleng high school, Phnom Penh.
Both pathways have once seen the many activities of men, yet the emotions that resonated through them cannot be more different than day is to night.
