Last November, B and I were invited to a good friend's wedding in Hong Kong and since we were both busy with work, we only stayed for the weekend.
Even though the trip was as short as a blink, it still offered a sweet cornucopia of culinary and cultural surprises.
We wanted to make the best of our two-day trip so we booked a hotel in the heart of the city's swinging and vibrant neighborhood, Lan Kwai Fong.
And guess what?
While roaming the charming streets of Lan Kwai Fong, we actually chanced upon an unassuming restaurant at a basement of a building that turned out to be a Michelin starred establishment! The restaurant is called The Boss and its delectable Chinese cuisine menu is the brainchild of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs medal winner, Chef Tony Lam. Quelle chance!
We were also overwhelmed by the colorful culture and history at one of Hong Kong's oldest streets, Pottinger Street or the Stone Slabs Street.
All in all, we had a marvellous time in the 'Pearl of The Orient' and can't wait to go back again.
Meanwhile, let's recollect the quaint charm of the Hong Kong streets through my lens! :P
