Packing your little one's school bag for the first time? Here is what we send to nursery :
In her backpack daily:
Water bottle
Snack/lunch box (watch for classroom allergens)
Little comfort bunny and a picture of our family
***yoga mat, PE clothes, etc or whatever else she might need on certain days
Bag that stays at school :
Jacket
Change of clothes
Wet bag to put soiled clothes in
A bag of diapers
A pack of wipes (or cotton and container)
Diaper cream
Travel-size body wash (for her bum)
Little cloth to dry her bum that gets sent home and changed out each time it's used
*we also gave the teacher an emergency binky for the first few days when she still used one
If your school doesn't provide it or if your little one has allergies like Ella Grace, we also send
:
Hat
Apron for outside play
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
First aid kit and creams that she can use
Epi pen or inhaler or medicines that your child might need w specific training and instructions
The most important thing is to label everything!!!! You can get a really good mixed pack from Fun Printz for bottles, iron on, stickers etc. or even just use a sharpie or pen!
Generally, the teachers are pretty good about letting you know if your child needs something. Remember, this is just a comprehensive list. Your child would likely be okay even without a bag!
