The top 5 of ASQ 2016 are making their first ever public debut in Malaysia public university! Steve, William, Wengdyy, Brian and Eugene are thrilled to serenade and meet the students of UM in an occasion that’s bound to be filled with love, hopes and dreams. It has been a grueling yet rewarding journey for the five finalists. They have had the honour of appearing in their own creative music videos, where they got to demonstrate their acting chops, as well as the fruit of having attended lessons overseas under the guidance of professional musicians. Apart from that, they have also gone through rigorous evaluation by the judges - Korean rock band Royal Pirates, Hong Kong songwriter Eric Kwok and Hip Hop group Fama! This year, Malaysia’s most-anticipated Chinese singing competition, Astro Star Quest, is reaching another milestone – celebrating its 20th anniversary. Over the years, many popular singers such as Gary Chaw, Nicholas Teo, Eric Lim, VChuan, Andrew Tan, Geraldine Gan, Nicole Lai and the like have spread their wings beyond the ASQ stage and have made a name for themselves in the Chinese music industry.
