Music Sense | A.Chal - “Psycho”

今晚的 Music Sense 要推薦的是目前居住於 Los Angeles 與 New York 的 A.Chal 的新歌- “Psycho.” 原本是位幕後音樂製作人兼Underground DJ, 在還沒正式出道前, 已任職於知名時裝屋 Ralph Lauren 數年, 並當任此品牌的音樂總監, 負責所有 Campaign的背景音樂, 展現自己在音樂這方面的才華.

三年前, A.Chal 發行了個人首張概念EP - “Ballroom Riots”, 融合了不同音樂元素像 Dubstep, Hip-Hop, & UK Funk. 由於音樂概念在當時屬於非常新潮, 也成功地引起了注意跟討論, 並被數雜誌列為當年 “Artists to Watch” 的名單裡. 但不知道為什麼, A.Chal 沈寂了一陣子, 直到一年前, 他在 SOUNDCLOUD 上把過去的個人作品全數刪掉, 並敲敲地新增了 “Round Whippin” & “Gazi” 兩首新歌. “Round Whippin” 這首歌是由美國天后 Rihanna 的音樂夥伴 11LIT3S 監製下合作做出來的. 數個月後, 知名饒舌歌手 A$AP ROCKY 在自己的Twitter上推出了A.Chal 另一首歌曲 “Vibe W/U”, 引起了一陣討論及轉發風波. 再一次的重新出發, 不僅在音樂上有了更大的突破, 並利用獨樹一格的影片及照片拍攝手法, 讓大眾注意到他視覺與聽覺的創意力.

不同於以往, A.Cha 在最新發表的歌曲 - “Pyscho” 加入了更柔和的現代 R&B 元素進去, 音樂製作人 Ricci Reira 也嘗試合成了些高假音及鼓聲進去. “Psycho” 這首歌講的是男生如何因為一段失敗感情而帶來巨大的悲傷和憎恨, 並讓男生有變成 Psycho 的可能性. “Might Go, Might Go, Might Go Fuckin’ Psycho” 這段副歌也會非常洗腦地repeat 在這首歌曲裡. 搭配上 A.Chal 嗓音與生俱來的催眠感及獨特韻律, 成功地為這首歌增加了神秘朦朧感與妖媚感.
