The Ultimate Purpose of Life

“This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭12:13-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The person who wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes is the richest and wisest mortal man in history: King Solomon.

After sharing all his wisdom, his conclusion is this: our whole duty is to fear God (worship Him with reverential awe) and keep His commandments (to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to love one another as Christ loved us).

“Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you; even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John‬ ‭17:1-3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

If you have been wondering, this is the purpose for which we were born: to know Abba God and Jesus Christ.

Not just in the mind, but to know God experientially, intuitively, and eventually face-to-face.

There will be a time of judgment in the future, but for a believer, there is no sentence of condemnation because our evil works have already been judged in Jesus’ body at the cross. He endured the fiery wrath of God on our behalf.

All that is left for us is to receive the rewards for both open and hidden good works done for Christ.

If you live your life keeping the Grace commandments—basically a life of leaning on God’s love and sharing that love with others, you will be greatly rewarded when it is time to stand before Jesus’ throne.

Wait, what? We get spared for all the evil deeds that we do and get rewarded for all the good works done by using the grace that God first gave to us? Yes, it sounds way too good to be true, but it is the truth.

Most believers have no idea what God’s rewards are. They know of blessings, but when it comes to rewards, it is hardly taught about. The common misconception is to mix up blessings and rewards—but these two are different.

Blessings were paid for by Jesus’ blood at the cross, and God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Heaven. On the other hand, rewards are still with Jesus in Heaven. He said that His reward is with Him—we will only receive them after He comes again.

過去幾年我時常回台灣工作探親，而我在上飛機前，都會先列出這次回台目的和優先次序清單：【1、賺錢還債 2、陪伴家人 3、身體休息】目標和次序清楚後，一切額外的應酬都推辭。

於是，短短三年內，債還完了！和家人的感情也日益增多，酒肉朋友漸漸消失了，真心愛我的朋友如今依舊在身旁🥰

「Boundaries界線 & Priority 次序」是我自己人生過往五年來一直一直在督促強迫自己必須學習的人課題。雖然直到現在，我也還沒辦法做得很好，但經過一年又一年的努力💪🏻 開始明顯感受到生活愈來愈輕鬆、輕盈。因為人際界線清楚了、生活中的事物都有了清楚的次序，人生方向自然而然就「自動對焦」了！

這次回LA前，丁先生問我：「要不要先讓大家知道我們要回去，然後約一些朋友吃飯聊天？」

我只有簡單回答說：「停留時間太短，還是陪陪家人吧！謝絕一切家人以外的飯局✋🏻」

所以，這一次，我們上飛機前一起討論出了這趟快閃之旅目的：【1、陪家人 2、回到倆人的立約之地 3、放鬆吃喝】

4天3夜的週末快閃，一下就來到了尾聲☺️ 收穫滿滿❤️ 充滿了回憶❤️
·
丁丁兄弟倆還一起去了外公外婆的墓園，和弟弟聊了當年外公外婆移民美國的故事。大家一起開車去看了丁先生學生時代前後住過的2個破舊小公寓。也和這個ABC小弟說了一些「當年全家菜鳥新移民到美國」的故事。
·
這次也和丁丁家族的阿姨們有了一個歡樂的聚餐時光，滿滿滿桌的拿手好菜+海南味，溫馨又充滿回憶❤️
·
「次序&界線」對了！一切都會自然而然歸回了原本該有的位子！
·
家人的關係其實也是需要「用心」去經營的；但卻時常被忽略了！
·
我們夫妻各自的家都並不完美，跟大家一樣都「有本難唸的經」😂 但在我和丁先生學習活得更像耶穌的路上，我們努力改變自己，學習包容、原諒、愛❤️

《成全》小提琴版本 | Violin cover by Lin Tzu An of Step Aside

這首歌原唱是劉若英，但後來林宥嘉翻唱後讓這首歌有了新的感受，好像變成是他的歌（認真不開玩笑～很多人以為成全是林宥嘉的歌😆 ) 記得我第一次拉這首歌是2.3年前在某平台上直播的時候被點播的，後來陸續有人一直說好聽，索性做成cover了。

每次拉這首歌都有新的感受，就像有人說林宥嘉唱出的是放不下，而劉若英版本的成全是放下。
原來那時候擁有的一身傲骨，未必以後還可以如此義無反顧啊！
據我觀察，大家應該都偏好虐心版的林宥嘉的成全，這首歌單曲循環都說明著大家的放不下。

生命有幾個過客，會帶走我們的天真；愛過幾個錯過的人，才能夠完整我們的人生。
我們都曾經死心踏地付出，而到最後這些執著可能變成了我們的成全。
對的時間遇見對的人，怎麼都不會被擱淺；錯的時間遇到對的人只能怪世界多轉了兩圈。
不過沒關係，未必永遠才是愛得完全，多兜過的圈也能看見不同風景吧（雙關了林宥嘉另首歌呢）

2021年第一首歌送給大家這首cover，向過去說聲謝謝。

This song was first released by Rene Liu, but then went viral again because of the cover by Yoga Lin after a few years later. The cover was sooooo successful that many people think it's his song.
I remember my first covering this song was 2018 or sth, and it's just random requested by my fans. But I kept getting the feedback that you guys really like this song by violin cover so here it is =]

Every time I play the song, I have different thoughts toward the song. It's like some people say that what Rene sang was literally stepping aside while Yoga's was like I cannot let you go.
From my personal observation, it seems like more people prefer Yoga's one that it's really hard for us to go over those memories which we laughed and loved so sincerely.

We all once dedicated ourselves to the one we thought he/she was the one, to the one who promised us forever, but sorry there's no happy ending.
Meeting the right one at the right time would be perfect and meeting the right one at the wrong time would be like wasting time and missing around. But hey, it is not forever that could be named love. We can love in our own way and there must be a lesson for going around.

I'm not a nature kinda person but I truly enjoyed it! We did the Signature Rainforest Experience which allowed us to experience The Habitat with a gHabitat Naturalist, Mr Loh, was so nice. He showed us some very interesting plants around The Habitat which I personally would love to have, especially the Tiny Orchid [ Vegas was smelling them in the video] and some other mean plants which can cause one to itch and even turn dumb. Mr. Loh even showed the kids, spiders, Trantulas and other insects which they love. Honestly,the kids loved him! and my job was so much easier with Mr. Loh around. LOL We were lucky to spot a Huge Squirrel, bigger than a cat.

It was my first time on Curtis Crest, the highest viewing point in Penang and I also came to learn about the history of the place. So cool. Heiley's legs was all jelly at Curtin Crest, but she managed to overcome her fear of heights and walked around it. So proud of this little one. I can't wait to visit this place in the evening to view the Sunset. Yes, there is also a Sunset Walk which you can experience. More about that in the comments.

The Signature Rainforest Experience also includes the Flight of Colugo which consist of 5 Ziplines, 1 Abseiling Line and 1 Rope Bridge Walk, both Heiley & Vegas Chan completed it too! I am so proud of them. Mummies & Daddies, if you have ever considered letting your children experience the Zipline I suggest here because all safety measurements were taken and the Zipline Guides looks after the kids like their own.

Overall, it was a great experience and I didn't regret waking up at 6am on a Saturday. Lol. I will surely be back to experience Sunset Walk! If you are not doing anything this weekend, give yourself a treat and enjoy nature at its best at The Habitat Penang Hill.
