我65歲的媽媽用她的三星手機,
一鏡到底即興拍了這十分瀑布VLOG。
自己做opening
自己做ending。
她在自己的臉書上是個小網紅,
平均一個貼文有300-800個讚。
(我望塵莫及~)
她一生經歷的風風雨雨,不是常人所及,
但這一切都沒有打到她。
現在她每天不亦樂乎的經營自己的臉書。
(我從來沒有教過她)
今年春節去台灣朝聖,我們「陪拍」了數百張照片。
任何時候,任何地方。
笑到我嘴都僵了。
我喜歡說佛法和玄學。
媽即興要拍視頻,那就說些有意義的話
和她的讀者結個善緣吧!
開拍前媽媽交代的腳本
就是
「介紹這個地方,要笑啊!」
本來沒想放在我的頻道上
但
我讚歎我母親的毅力
以及學習的上進心
她是我的偶像
希望也能夠鼓勵到妳你

My 65-year-old mum shot this Taiwan Shifen Waterfall VLOG
impromptu on her Samsung phone
All in one take.
She did her own opening and ending.
On her personal Facebook, she is a micro influencer.
Her posts garner likes between 300-800.
(I lose...)
The storms that she weathered through
are not what a normal woman can bear.
But all these did not defeat her.
Now she happily manages her FB everyday.
I have never taught her anything.
When we went Taiwan this CNY for our pilgrimage,
we had to take hundreds of photos with her.
Anytime, anywhere.
I smiled until my mouth freezed.
I like to speak the Dharma and Chinese Metaphysics.
When she wanted to shoot impromptu,
I spoke what I considered more meaningful content,
wanting to form more positive affinities with her readers.
The only script we had before she pressed record was
say something about this place, SMILE.
I did not cut anything out from this video.
Thought it's quite a brilliant job
that my 65-year-old mum did there,
from her own intro to ending.
I did not have any intention of putting it on my channel,
but I am in awe of my mum's determination and drive in learning.
She is my role model.
Hope it inspires you too.
p.s. 2nd important point -
having a husband who is willing
to ham it up to make my mum happy
is very, very, very important.
Doesn't matter even if he looks like a Christmas elf.

Christmas Wreath Salad
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 5min
Number of servings: N/A
What You Need:
9cm/3.5inch Muffin Ring (Cercle)
packaged salad with colorful vegetables
cherry tomatoes
fresh mozzarella cheese balls (cherry size)
thin ham slices
cheese
dressing of your choice
Directions:
1. Place a muffin ring in the middle of a plate them arrange the packaged salad around it.
2. Make some roses with thin ham slices.
3. Cut out cheese to make star shapes.
4. Decorate the salad then eat with your favorite dressing.

Doria is a gratin made with rice instead of macaroni.
It is a popular dish in Japan.
The idea using avocado is one of my popular dishes :)
Savory tasty and delicious way to enjoy Avocado.
It was once featured on a Hawaiian magazine.
My darling loves this gratin, so I hope you like it as well!
I translated this recipe almost 5 years ago on my blog. It is interesting to read what happened on that day. I don't even remember what have happened to me on that day. LOL

Creamy Avocado Doria (Japanese Rice Gratin)
Difficulty: Medium
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 20cm (8inch) pie dish
Ingredients:
((Fried Rice))
400g (14oz.) cooked white rice
100g (3.5oz.) thick sliced ham *sausage is okay
50g (1.7oz.) onion
50g (1.7oz.) green pepper
30g (1oz.) carrot
10g (0.3oz.) butter
salt and pepper
((Avocado Cream Sauce)) *200cc ready-made white sauce is okay
100ml consomme soup
100ml soy milk *milk or whipping cream is okay
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. corn starch
1 bay leaf *if you have
10g (0.3oz.) butter
salt and pepper
1 avocado
shredded pizza cheese
Directions:
((Fried Rice))
1. Dice ham into 1/2inch (1cm) pieces. Chop onion, carrot, and green pepper.
2. Heat butter in a pan on medium. Fry the diced ham until browned. Add onion, carrot, and green pepper, and saute until soft.
3. Add cooked white rice, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
((Avocado Cream Sauce))
1. Dice the avocado.
2. Pour the consommé soup into a pan. Mix flour and corn starch with the same amount of water and add to the soup. Add the soy milk. Add a bay leaf if you like. Heat on low, stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
3. Turn off the heat, add butter, remove the bay leaf, then add the diced avocado.
4. Heat again on low for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
((Finish))
1. Butter an 8inch (20cm) pie dish. Put the fried rice mixture in the bottom, and spread the avocado cream sauce evenly over the rice.
2. Sprinkle with shredded pizza cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 480F (250C) for 10-15 minutes or bake in a toaster oven until the top is lightly browned.

How To Make Egg Free Cookies
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 1.5 hrs
Number of servings: 20 cookies
You Need Only 3 Ingredients:
50g (1.8oz.) butter *softened
100g (3.5oz.) cake flour
30g (1.0oz.) powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
Directions:
1. Mix butter and powdered sugar (powdered sugar makes the cookie crisp) with spatula until creamy.
2. Sift in the cake flour (you can use all-purpose flour) little by little and mix well.
3. Roll out dough between the plastic wrap to 0.5 cm (0.2 inch) thick. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour to chill.
4. Preheat the oven to 170C (338F). Remove the plastic wrap. Cut out with the cookie cutters (you can take the top part of the cutters and gently push down to imprint the patterns onto the cookies). Place the cookies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Roll out scraps, and repeat.
5. Bake at 170C (338F) for 10-12 minutes. Cool the cookies on the sheet or wire rack.
