A little love story to end the day.
Boon and I knew each other in church, through my youth leader, Paul who was BFF with Boon. When he first came to church (where my dad was the pastor and me, a pastor’s daughter), it never ever occurred to me that one day this guy was gonna be someone important to me, what more my husband and father to my children! (At that age I never thought I would have two boys too cos I was SO CERTAIN that I would have girls, and they shall be named- Chris, Christine and Christina. Yeap forgive me for I was hilarious and dumb. I still laugh at my lack of creativity and naivety🤣)
.
When we first met, I was 10 and he was 14. He hardly came to church cos he was busy being popular in school and dating (he was that friendly prefect who would help keep your highlighter, and that jock that participated in everything), but sometimes I would see him cycling past my house together with Paul when I was playing water at the porch with @gladystanxy, like literally hose ourselves down fully clothed. Ahhhh good times.
Somehow during my first youth camp (when I finally turned 13 and became a YOUTH WOW WOW), we were both placed in the same team and I started realising wait why is this guy paying so much attention to me. But I didn’t voice out cos shy dowan ppl think I’m extra. Throughout the 4D3N I kept wondering if he liked me or what, then it was confirmed when he held both our slippers at the beach in his hand because he said what if someone steals my slippers 🤷🏻♀️ two months later he asked me to be his gf and I said no cos hello, I was 13?? And my dad’s a pastor? Then I told him ask me again after my PMR (lol), which he didn’t follow and continued asking every 2 months.
A year later I said yes, and then faced the strict rules of my parents where @gladystanxy had to come along for every date for 3 years straight.
After 8 years of dating, we got married and then became this! The end 👏🏻
PS: Boon said to himself he would never marry a pastor’s daughter. Never say never guys 🌚
PPS: We were both Alumni in Yuk Chai (class 4C, but 4 years apart!) So we HAD to go back to our class 4C to take a pic during their open day 6 months ago.
The end.
