Today marks a brand new day and a brand new beginning for our beloved country Malaysia. What a time to be alive! A part of me can't believe I'm living in this moment right now. I'm sure a lot of us can identify. I can still remember watching Buletin Utama on TV3 when I was a young boy and how my dad was shouting angrily at the TV 😂 Fast forward almost 20 years later, the mandate was passed to us and we became the difference. The work has certainly just begun. Now that the country and the world have seen the strength of the rakyat, we will continue to keep watch of the current coalition and new government.

Waking up today, I can't help but feel a silent sense of renewed unity among Malaysians. Our identity as Malaysians more affirmed than ever. A newfound pride to be called Malaysian. As I look upon the days to come, I'm already so excited to tell my children and grandchildren about today with a twinkle in my eye that daddy/yeye/kong kong was part of the 11.35 million people or so who made a difference so many years ago.

And that is why to all of you out there who voted, to our parents who fought for us even before this victory, to all the hardworking volunteers and authorities who stayed till the end, here's from one Malaysian to another: THANK YOU. You're all HEROES. Now and for generations to come :') #MALAYSIA 🇲🇾
