The bornean sun bear is an excellent climber, and the smallest bear in the world. The Bornean subspecies is about 1/2 the size of sun bears found in the rest of Southeast Asia. The population is heavily on the decline throughout its range, with many places already showing that they are locally extinct in many places in Asia.
