Recently I got a lots of questions about how i got into wine industry..well it’s a long story but can be pretty short to be fair.(什麼啦！？）

Basically I dropped my career in Taiwan and went to work in an Italian restaurant in Melbourne, Australia. And that was the very start got me into wine... and the eager to know more and more...(thirsty already)

Last month I went to a restaurant in Singapore, had a bottle of Morellino di Scansano from Fattoria Le Pupille. I’m being very thankful as it is such a awesome food friendly wine while worth value fore money!

On top of that, It really reminds me of my very first Sangiovese I had, the type of wine I keep ordering and ordering after work...gosh you have no idea how good it feels to take the sip after the lonnnnggggg shift!

When I had the first sip, the memory all comes up. That was the time I didn’t know anything about wine, and all I wanted was a good juice with what so called good structure. Nothing serious, but just a glass of juice could compliment your night, that’s it!

Every bottle deserves a moment to shine, we just need to know when, and how.

不是只有貴的酒才是好酒。學葡萄酒讓我最開心的事是懂得找到適合的酒款、搭配適合的時機，讓每一瓶「好酒」發光發亮。🍷

วิกฤติ ไวน์ออสเตรเลีย /โดย ลงทุนแมน
ออสเตรเลีย เป็นหนึ่งในประเทศที่ส่งออกไวน์มากที่สุดในโลก
ด้วยมูลค่าการส่งออกกว่า 93,682 ล้านบาท ในปี 2020
ส่งผลให้ออสเตรเลียเป็นประเทศที่ส่งออกไวน์ มากเป็นอันดับที่ 4 ของโลก

แต่ปัจจุบันอุตสาหกรรมไวน์ออสเตรเลียกำลังเจอความท้าทายครั้งใหญ่
ที่อาจส่งผลให้มูลค่าการส่งออกไวน์ในปีต่อ ๆ ไป ลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญได้

แล้วอะไร คือความท้าทายของอุตสาหกรรมไวน์ของออสเตรเลียที่ว่านี้ ?

ปัจจุบันโลกของเราแบ่งผู้ผลิตไวน์ออกเป็น 2 ประเภทใหญ่ ๆ
นั่นก็คือ “ประเทศไวน์โลกเก่า” และ “ประเทศไวน์โลกใหม่”

ประเทศไวน์โลกเก่า หมายถึง ไวน์ที่มีต้นกำเนิดมาจากดินแดนที่มีประวัติศาสตร์ไวน์อย่างยาวนาน
โดยหมายถึงประเทศในทวีปยุโรป อย่างเช่น ฝรั่งเศส, อิตาลี, สเปน, โปรตุเกส, เยอรมนี รวมไปถึงบางประเทศในตะวันออกกลาง
ซึ่งประเทศเหล่านี้ ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็น ประเทศเจ้าอาณานิคมในสมัยก่อน

ส่วนไวน์โลกใหม่ หมายถึง ไวน์ที่มีต้นกำเนิดนอกทวีปยุโรป
โดยจะเป็นอดีตประเทศเมืองขึ้นของประเทศเจ้าอาณานิคมยุโรป
อย่างเช่น สหรัฐอเมริกา, แอฟริกาใต้, ชิลี, อาร์เจนตินา และออสเตรเลีย

ออสเตรเลีย ก็ถือเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศไวน์โลกใหม่ ซึ่งประวัติศาสตร์ไวน์ออสเตรเลียมีจุดเริ่มต้นตั้งแต่ปี 1788
ซึ่งตรงกับช่วงที่ชาวอังกฤษกลุ่มหนึ่งได้อพยพมายังดินแดนแห่งนี้

ชาวอังกฤษที่อพยพมา เริ่มวางรากฐานต่าง ๆ ให้กับดินแดนแห่งนี้
ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเมือง, การปกครอง รวมไปถึงวัฒนธรรมและศาสนา
จึงทำให้ศาสนาคริสต์กลายเป็นศาสนาที่มีการเติบโตมากในออสเตรเลียตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา

และหากพูดถึงศาสนาคริสต์แล้ว ก็ต้องนึกพิธีกรรมที่มีการนำไวน์มาเป็นส่วนประกอบ
เพราะชาวคริสต์นั้น เปรียบไวน์ เสมือนเป็นโลหิตของพระเยซู

ด้วยความที่ออสเตรเลียในตอนแรก ไม่มีพันธุ์องุ่นท้องถิ่น
ชาวอังกฤษจึงได้นำเข้าองุ่นจากยุโรปและแอฟริกาใต้เข้ามา
และเริ่มต้นอุตสาหกรรมไวน์ในออสเตรเลีย ตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา

อุตสาหกรรมไวน์ออสเตรเลียขยายตัวมากขึ้นในช่วงปลายศตวรรษที่ 18
เมื่อมีชาวยุโรปอพยพมายังดินแดนออสเตรเลียมากขึ้น จนทำให้ศาสนาคริสต์มีการขยายตัวมากขึ้นเช่นกัน
สุดท้ายจึงทำให้ความต้องการไวน์เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างก้าวกระโดด

ความต้องการของไวน์ออสเตรเลียที่สูงขึ้น และสภาพอากาศที่พอเหมาะ
จึงทำให้ชาวออสเตรเลียเชื้อสายยุโรปรวมถึงชาวยุโรป สนใจที่จะลงทุนและนำเทคนิคการผลิตไวน์จากยุโรปเข้ามาปรับใช้ในออสเตรเลีย

โดยสิ่งน่าสนใจ ที่ไวน์จากออสเตรเลียและไวน์จากประเทศโลกใหม่มีเหมือนกัน
คือ “ราคาที่ถูกกว่าและการเข้าถึงที่ง่ายกว่า” ไวน์จากประเทศโลกเก่า
ไม่ว่าจะเป็นฉลากที่อ่านเข้าใจง่าย รสชาติที่นุ่มละมุน ที่ทำให้ผู้บริโภคตัดสินใจเลือกซื้อง่ายกว่า

ส่งผลให้ออสเตรเลียเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศไวน์โลกใหม่ที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างกว้างขวาง
โดยมีบริษัทผลิตไวน์สัญชาติออสเตรเลียอย่าง Treasury Wine Estates
ที่เป็นเจ้าของแบรนด์ไวน์ออสเตรเลียชื่อดังมากมาย อย่างเช่นแบรนด์ Penfolds

บริษัท Treasury Wine Estates ถือเป็นหนึ่งในบริษัทผลิตไวน์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก
โดยมีมูลค่ามากถึง 178,000 ล้านบาท

และหากมองอุตสาหกรรมไวน์ออสเตรเลียในภาพรวมแล้ว
ไม่เพียงแต่วัฒนธรรมการดื่มไวน์ที่ซึมซับไปในวิถีชีวิตของคนออสเตรเลียเท่านั้น
แต่ไวน์ออสเตรเลีย ยังเป็นสินค้าส่งออกสำคัญไปต่างประเทศอีกด้วย
โดยไวน์ที่ผลิตในออสเตรเลีย จะถูกส่งออกไปต่างประเทศมากถึง 60%
โดยประเทศที่ไวน์ออสเตรเลีย ถูกส่งออกไปมากที่สุดก็คือ “จีน”

ด้วยมูลค่าการส่งออกมากถึง 39,372 ล้านบาท
จึงทำให้การส่งออกไวน์ออสเตรเลียไปยังจีนคิดเป็นสัดส่วนมากถึง 42%
ด้วยเหตุนี้เอง จีน จึงถือเป็น ตลาดไวน์ที่สำคัญมากที่สุดของออสเตรเลีย

แต่ความท้าทายที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นในตอนนี้ก็คือ
ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างจีนและออสเตรเลีย ที่มีความตึงเครียดกันมาตั้งแต่ก่อนหน้านี้

ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การที่ออสเตรเลียเป็นหนึ่งในชาติพันธมิตรของสหรัฐอเมริกา
ที่ได้แสดงความคิดเห็นทางการเมืองที่ต่อต้านกิจการภายในจีนเหมือนกับชาติพันธมิตรอื่น ๆ อย่างเช่น เรื่องการประท้วงในฮ่องกง, ข้อพิพาทในทะเลจีนใต้ และเรื่องอื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย

ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น ทางการออสเตรเลียยังแบน Huawei ไม่ให้มีการพัฒนาเครือข่ายสื่อสาร 5G ในประเทศ โดยอ้างถึงความเสี่ยงที่อาจจะถูกจีนแทรกแซงข้อมูลในประเทศ

ส่วนเหตุการณ์ที่ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง 2 ประเทศมีความตึงเครียดกันมากขึ้นก็คือ
การที่ทางการออสเตรเลียออกมาเรียกร้องให้มีการสอบสวนสาเหตุของการแพร่ระบาดของโควิด 19
ที่เมืองอู่ฮั่น และเรียกร้องให้จีนออกมารับผิดชอบต่อความเสียหายที่เกิดขึ้น

ด้วยเหตุนี้เองจึงทำให้ทางการจีนเริ่มออกมาตรการคว่ำบาตรทางการค้ากับออสเตรเลียอย่างจริงจัง ตั้งแต่ช่วงปลายปี 2020

ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการประกาศว่า จะไม่ให้นักเรียนและนักศึกษาจีนมาศึกษาในออสเตรเลีย และจะระงับหรือออกมาตรการกีดกันการนำเข้าสินค้าบางประเภท อย่างเช่นเนื้อวัว ถ่านหิน รวมถึง “ไวน์”

ล่าสุดเมื่อวันที่ 26 มีนาคม ที่ผ่านมา ทางการจีนได้ออกมาประกาศว่าจะขึ้นภาษีนำเข้าไวน์จากออสเตรเลียในอัตรา 116% ถึง 218% ไปอีก 5 ปี

โดยการขึ้นภาษีดังกล่าว เกิดขึ้นหลังจากที่ทางการจีนตรวจสอบพบว่า
ทางการออสเตรเลียมีการ “ทุ่มราคาตลาดไวน์” เพื่อทำให้ราคาไวน์ออสเตรเลียที่ขายในตลาดจีนมีราคาถูกกว่าแบรนด์ไวน์อื่น ๆ เพื่อที่จะทำลายคู่แข่งรายอื่น ๆ ในตลาด

ซึ่งมาตรการนี้ ก็เรียกได้ว่า เห็นผลได้ในทันที
เพราะจากรายงานสถิติของกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมไวน์ออสเตรเลียรายงานว่า มูลค่าการส่งออกไวน์ออสเตรเลียไปยังจีนในเดือนธันวาคมในปี 2020 ลดลงไปจนเหลือ “เกือบศูนย์บาท” หรือเรียกง่าย ๆ ว่าขายแทบไม่ได้เลยนั่นเอง

ก็เป็นที่น่าติดตามว่า สงครามการค้าครั้งนี้ระหว่างจีนกับออสเตรเลีย
ที่จีนงัดมาตรการคว่ำบาตรทางการค้าโดยการตั้งกำแพงภาษี
มาใช้กับสินค้าจากออสเตรเลีย อย่างเช่น ไวน์ จะมีจุดสิ้นสุดตรงไหน

แต่สุดท้ายแล้ว สงครามครั้งนี้
นอกจากผู้ส่งออกไวน์ออสเตรเลียไปยังจีน จะได้รับผลกระทบแล้ว
คนอีกกลุ่มหนึ่งที่เสียผลประโยชน์ไปด้วย
ก็คงหนีไม่พ้น ผู้ชื่นชอบไวน์ออสเตรเลีย ในประเทศจีน..

【如果要到橫濱參加2016日本啤酒節⋯⋯】

即將於9月17-19日，在橫濱舉辦為期三天的日本啤酒節（The Great Japan Beer Festival Yokohama 2016），是最適合台灣朋友親身參與的啤酒盛事之一。快去快回、沒有時差，文化氛圍也不陌生。今年與往年一樣，在啤酒節之前，配合舉辦國際啤酒盃（International Beer Cup），將由國際評審團品評來自十餘國的數百種酒款。

本屆評審團成員共有六十餘位，除了一位在台灣工作的德國人之外，還有三位是台灣人——金色三麥的德籍釀酒師克里斯・努特（Christopher NÜTER）、北台灣麥酒公司釀酒師段淵傑、台虎精釀首席釀酒師許若瑋，以及酒類專家王鵬。

除了參加啤酒節，親身體驗歡樂的節慶氣氛之外：

1. 你可以在9月18日中午12.00，現場觀看本屆國際啤酒盃的頒獎典禮。根據觀察，通常都有來自台灣的啤酒品牌獲獎。

2. 你可以在9月18日11.45-17.45，參加本屆「國際工藝釀造研討會」（International Craft Beer Conference），聆聽四場演講（每場45分鐘），每個場次之間可以回到啤酒節慶主場試飲。王鵬的場次是以英語進行，現場備有日語即席翻譯。
