New Zealand itinerary纽西兰旅程 (English and Chinese version)

English version
This was my first time to New Zealand. For those who have never been here before, I reckon that planning the trip is going to be worth it. New Zealand is really by far the most beautiful country I’ve ever been, with beautiful scenery everywhere as if a painting is following you around.
My boyfriend and I rented a car when we were in Queenstown and Auckland. There is no need to apply for international license to drive in NZ for Malaysian.
A little advice for you, I strongly recommend (or compulsory) you guys to rent a car if you’re coming to Queenstown. It’s much more convenient because you’ll be driving a lot to places outside of Queenstown. On top of that, you can stop by anywhere and anytime for photos and enjoy the magnificent view. And I do not recommend you to rent a car in Auckland, due to the difficulty of finding a parking and the convenience of using their public transports.
Also, we actually booked a few activities such as Heli glacier, skydiving, mount cook trekking and so on, but these activities got cancelled due to the weather. So here’s a little advice, check the weather forecast before your trip and try to arrange your activities on the first few days so you are able to arrange at later dates of your trip if your activity gets cancelled due to the weather.
Regarding the airbnb that we stayed in Queenstown, it was facing an incredible view with an outdoor spa! Most importantly, it was a crazy bargain at only around RM300-400 per night (it could have been more expensive by now). You can also look for cheaper air bnb. After all you definitely won’t be spending much time in the stay other than sleeping in it.
Here's the link to airbnb (https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/11422391?s=51), for first time airbnb user, get MYR105 off by using this link (www.airbnb.co.nz/c/cloh116).
10 days has never been enough to explore the whole NZ, I guess it takes a month to travel the south island. We spent most of our time in south island, for north island we only travelled to Auckland. I personally prefer south island more and had the opportunity to visit Milford Sound, Glenorchy, Lake Pukaki, Lake Tekapo, Wanaka, and so on.

There was nothing more shiok than soaking in this at Onsen Hot Pools, especially after running 10km in the cold.
This is the only dedicated hot pool complex in Queenstown and they were fully booked! Probably by all the runners, lol.
It's located at the bottom of Coronet Peak Ski Field, about 20-minute drive from the city centre, on a cliff side so you get this pretty view.
You have the privacy of your own room with your own pool and you can also choose to close the shutter if you want an indoor setting.
I felt so comfortable and relaxed after, time to sleep like a baby!

Australia and New Zealand might be quite a journey for some, but they’re totally worth the visit!
Most people will have heard of Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. For three weeks every year, the coastal walk along the beach is transformed into a 2km long art exhibition called Sculpture by the Sea.. It’s one of the largest free exhibitions in the city and you can see over 100 artworks by artists from Australia and across the world.

Explore New Zealand’s Rotorua attractions, and if you’re a water sports enthusiast, make sure that Kaituna River is at the top of your list. Located just 15 minutes from Rotorua city, this epic stretch of water is known for its heart-pounding drops, whirlpools, and waterfalls. https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/new-zealand/articles/the-top-10-things-to-do-and-see-in-rotorua-new-zealand/
Here’s something fun to do on a hot summer’s day in New Zealand: grab a boogie board and head 50 kilometres northwest of Gisborne to the Rere Rockslide. This natural attraction will get you rushing past the watery slopes as you splash into a huge pool. Enjoy the fun-filled slide down the bottom, and make sure to check out Rere Falls while you’re there. https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/new-zealand/articles/the-10-best-things-to-do-in-gisborne-new-zealand/
The Onsen Hot Pools are located near Queenstown in New Zealand and offer secret views across the Shotover River canyon. The rustic cliffside retreat is a great destination all year round: It’ll warm you up in winter, cool you down in the summer, and cosily shield those visiting on a rainy day. https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/new-zealand/articles/the-best-spas-and-wellness-retreats-in-queenstown-new-zealand/
New Zealand’s native glow worm species, the Arachnocampa luminosa, are found deep within the country’s limestone caverns, where they spin their silk nets and lower themselves to capture their unsuspecting prey. Like our little glowing friends? The country is home to some amazing places to see glow worms, such as the Waitomo Caves. https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/new-zealand/articles/9-places-to-see-glow-worms-in-new-zealand/
