Going by its plain looks, I wasn't expecting much from this "yellow rice wine chicken mee sua". So, I was caught off guard and delighted with the tender firm springy bite of the weighty mee sua. The next pleasant surprise was the robust but well balanced tangy savoury sweet (ginger) spicy taste of the yellow rice wine broth. When I asked the lady boss why her rice wine broth is so heavy, rich and flavoursome, she said "No secret lah, we just use less water to dilute it". On further conversation, she also mentioned that they added Western wine in their broth "according to mother's recipe". I shall be back. Price RM12.50 for chicken version.
