本年度校務委員會研究生代表選舉有以下候選人：

【校長物色委員會成員包括王于漸、顏慶雲及劉澤星】
校長物色委員會主席施文信於今天（四月十三日）發出電郵 [1]，通知師生有關將會任命下一任校長的物色委員會資訊。電郵中指物色委員會已任命 Perrett Laver 作為獵頭機構，並根據校務委員會於 2012 年通過的校長遴選準則 [2] 協助物色下任校長的人選。物色委員會除了包括擔任主席的施文信外，亦有三位成員：
王于漸（經濟金融學院經濟學講座教授 ）
顏慶雲（工程學院副院長（教學））
劉澤星（李嘉誠醫學院副院長（教學））

Message from Chairman, Search Committee for the Next President & Vice-Chancellor
Dear Members of the University Community,
The Council resolved at its meeting on February 28, 2017 to set up a Search Committee and a Selection Committee for the appointment of the next President and Vice-Chancellor. The Search Committee’s role is to identify and appoint an international headhunting agency, and to source the best qualified candidates for recommendation to the Selection Committee based on the selection criteria approved for adoption by the Council (Annex). The Search Committee is chaired by a lay member of the Council, and comprises three full-time senior professional Teachers at Chair Professor level (comprising Chair Professors and Professors with Chair title), one from each of the cognate Faculty groupings.
The Council has appointed me to be the Chairman of the Search Committee, and it is my pleasure to take up this appointment. Following the election of the three members, the membership of the Search Committee is as follows:
Dr. T. Brian Stevenson (Chairman)
Professor Y.C. Richard Wong (Arts, Business & Economics, Education, Law and Social Sciences)
Professor Alfonso H.W. Ngan (Architecture, Engineering and Science)
Professor C.S. Lau (Dentistry and Medicine)
Subsequent to the procurement and selection process, the Search Committee has appointed Perrett Laver as the agency to assist with the search exercise. Arrangements will be made for the position to be openly advertised locally (in the South China Morning Poston April 22 and 29, 2017) and internationally.

香港大學學生會聯院會代表昨夜於港島香格里拉大酒店，向校務委員會主席李國章遞上邀請信，信函中指基於原訂二月三日與六名學生代表的會面告吹，因此邀請他盡快就大學發展及管治的事宜，包括修改《香港大學條例》的細節及進度，與廣大學生進行公開、透明及有建設性的對話。
邀請信的內容如下：
Dear Mr. Arthur Li,
The ten Faculty Societies of The Hong Kong University Students’ Union hereby invite you to convene a constructive dialogue in an open and transparent manner, with the media present. There has been strong opinion in the University as well as in society regarding the amendment to The University of Hong Kong Ordinance and Statutes. Yet, the meeting scheduled on 3rd February on the subject with six student representatives has failed to be held. Therefore, we student organisations hope to meet you to discuss the development of the University, which includes amendments for the HKU Ordinance and Statutes, and the working schedule of the Review Panel of the HKU Ordinance amendment. The details of the meeting, including the time, venue and agenda can be further discussed and will be disclosed to the public.
