This year has been one of the challenging years for many companies.
One of them is MUJI. Japanese minimalist brand.
MUJI, in addition to facing the COVID-19 crisis.
Companies still have to deal with monsoons.
This makes the present value of Ryohin Keikaku company.
MUJI brand owner fell from the top spot 2 years ago.
More than 60 % think about the lost value of around 2 billion baht.
So what is MUJI having to deal with?
Investing man will tell you about it.

MUJI brand. Full name is Mujirushi Ryōhin
Thai language means good quality products. No brand needed.
MUJI listed on the Japan Stock Exchange.
Under a company called Ryohin Keikaku. Been doing business for 40 years.
Year 2017 income 112,000 million baht. Profit 13,650 million baht.
Year 2018 income 121,000 million baht. Profit 13,610 million baht.
Year 2019 income 123,000 million baht. Profit 10,800 million baht.
(MUJI's latest financial year starts from 1 March 2019 ends 28 February 2020)
From the above numbers reflect that
Even companies have increased income
But profit is likely to decrease.
By slowing down profit in 2018
First slow down in 8 years
While the last year, company profits have fallen 21 %
This is because MUJI is facing an inevitable event that happens.
Simultaneously for the last 2 years
From both in Japan and abroad
Starting from..
Protests in Hong Kong
Japanese product boycott conflict in South Korea
Including the adjustment of consumption tax in Japan
And when we come to see MUJI revenue structure will come from
Japan 61 %
East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea) 28 %
Europe USA 7 %
Asia 4 %
Reflecting on how the events have taken a direct impact on MUJI's income.
Even more so when MUJI is a global brand accepted.
What happens is ′′ competitors ′′ who make the same products for sale.
Specifically, brands from China such as Miniso
This whole thing makes sales to the original branches in China, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan..
And when it comes to the Covid-19 plague situation this year.
Making MUJI with over 970 storefronts around the world affected without exception.
The impact of COVID-19 makes
5 in 10 MUJI CHINESE SHOP
9 in 10 of MUJI Japan
Had to close the shop last month..
All of these are causing MUJI to have a large amount of inventory and the company has adjusted the forecast that the first half of this year will have lower income and may result in losses.
Here we can conclude that..
MUJI is facing a critical crisis.
That can be difficult to happen.
But it doesn't mean it won't happen.
From the beginning of the year, the value of Ryohin Keikaku, the owner of MUJI brand.
38 % and 60 % fell from the top in 2018
From the monsoon beset MUJI now have both
The inevitable including new rivals
These are also one important test.
In the history of the company since its inception 40 years.
This test should show us
The value of the missing MUJI company is 2 billion.
Is it temporary or permanent..

[How to sell anything to anybody]
One of the most rewarding skills to master when you start a business is your ability to sell. Understanding how to sell enhance all areas of your business. If you master these three aspects of selling, you will know how to sell even if you have never been in a sales role before:
1. [Know who and what they want]
The most common parties you’d need to sell to are customers, investors, mentors, new hires and your team. They all have different desires, you need to talk to them and dig deep into their motivations and situation. Your customers may care about price right now but quality later, this investor may care about valuation but the other investors care about your vision. Find out what they want and don’t confuse your audience with unrelated information.
2. [Use their language to get your message across]
You know who you are talking to and what they want, speak their language. Once both parties feel comfortable with the information they have, they’ll move forward in the transaction. So why would you make it more difficult for the other party? You wouldn’t purposefully speak French to a Japanese person, so why use corporate jargon with your customers?
3. [Convincing the other party you’ll have what they want]
Great, they can understand you! The key to closing a sale is to focus on their ask rather than your need. If you are hiring talent, focus on what they want, like employee benefits, time off, bonus etc. When the new hire believes their desires are met, you’ll be signing on a new employee! Most people are only willing to exchange their resources (time/money/power/influence) with you when they think you hold the solution to their problem.

// vegan curry meal ¥1200 //
I was being taken to this self-sufficient, very original and traditional restaurant - 畑とカリー. They only have one vegan meal. This time I chose this restaurant not because of the food, but its unique style! The decoration outside the restaurant has given people a very "wild" feeling, and it is not like decoration, it seems to be something that the restaurant will use.
Slowly stepping into the restaurant, the dim light and yellow light, coupled with the table and chairs made of wood, the time seems to return back to ancient times. 🤣 There are different ingredients on the front desk, there are vegetables and animal bodies, such as feet. They are especially concerned that the animals used are the ones that the restaurant owner hunted in the mountains; the vegetables were also grown in the fields. Anyway, what the restaurant needs, the owner will make it himself even the oven!
The only vegan dish I ordered was actually what I wanted to have in Japan - curry! It looks like a simple dish, but this curry is very different from what I usually eat. It is not a pre-packaged curry like added a lot of spices or chemistry. Can I describe their curry as "fresh"? 😂 Anyway,my stomach likes it!
This restaurant is full of human warmth. Like the feeling of going to a friend's house, there is a musician came to the shop that day. He is very quite. Although the shop is not big, there are many people. We even play and learn music together. There is also language exchange time! I counted one to ten in Cantonese to them. The musician said kawaii to me, my face turned red immediately. ☺️
The couple are taking good care of us. I was watching one of them busy in cooking, the other is busy greeting us and playing music, it seems like they came out from the Japanese drama! I instantly felt that I was being shoot in a Japanese TV drama with all of them too. What I meant was actually I can feel the feeling of warmth between friends that shown in the Japanese TV drama in here. How lucky I was!
PS I'm a vegan but I was sitting on the buckskin that the owner hunted in the mountain. 😐

If you're introverted, the idea of speaking to strangers might not be that exciting. I know the feeling. In the language community it seems it's always encouraged to talk to natives. This can be really beneficial, but can introverts manage to practice and use languages without needing to talk to strangers?
My friend Valeria asked me this question after our last video together, and although it's a short clip, I thought it would be valuable to share. ✨ Let's discuss!
