💌 Dear Adam,
After more than 2 years, I finally gathered enough strength to go back to our favourite place. I thought I was ready until we arrived there and I couldn’t even open the door to step my foot down from the car. As I peeped around from the car window, our whole memory together rolled back and hit me like a wave of tsunami. I quickly looked at Mr Dad’s face and thank God he understood my signal right away. He took the kids down and left me alone in the car.
There I was, at our favourite place, stuck in the car, my legs felt like jelly, my hands were icy cold in the late summer heat, my heart was pumping hard, my whole body was trembling like a volcanic mountain ready to vomit its lava…couldn’t make a move, couldn’t say a word! And not long after the kids disappeared from my sight…my tears ran down like a heavy rain. I cried and cried and cried.
After almost 2 hours, the kids walked back to the car with wide smiles on each of their faces. I was stunned looking at them. I spotted a sign of strength in them. Yes, they are stronger than me. They were so happy. They missed the place so much. They talked about our memories together. They took a walk down the memory lane walking back the trail that we last took together when you were here. And they already planned to come back again soon to create more memories at our favourite place.
And I’m glad. Relief. I found my strength back in them. I know this time I failed to get myself out there. But at least I’ve made the first move. InshaAllah next time I believe that I will be stronger to step down and be ready to create more memories with the kids at our favourite place. We will definitely be talking about you and how much we are still loving you…

Mid altitude mountains in Taiwan are very hard, but also very magic.
After resctriction in Taiwan I plan this trip to Alisha 阿里山 from Xinii 信義.
Shen A Ancient Trail 神阿古道 was recently maintained and it is awesome and direct connection to Alishan.
I plan 40km loop over wild ridge to 松山 Song Shan (over 望美山, 望高瞭望台, 瓊山) and reach Alishan railway in 石猴分道 Shihou railway station (from there can descent to 水漾森林 Shuiyang forest).
Ascent to 松山 Song Shan was 15km with 2000m climb on not easy terrain. I miss turn to ridge and continued on old forest road around 1700m (follow marking and gps carefully).
On old railway I pass several bridges and dark tunnels and walk over 眠月 Mianyue Stone Monkey and 塔山 Ta Shan station where is 500m longest tunnel which has collapse in the middle, it is very dark. I reach Alishan 阿里山 (十字分道 Shizifendao Station).
From there is not far for upper entry to 神阿古道 Shen A Ancient Trail which was maintained in Spring 2021. It is very steep with climb or descent of 1300m on 6km, down to 神木村 Shenmu village.

With Beidawu’s Kuaigu lodge and campground not open, we decided to challenge a single-day ascent to Beidawu Mountain. Starting at the new trail head, we had to ascend and descend some 1900m and cover nearly 24km in a single day. We were up at 1:30am and hit the trail at 3:30am. When we reached the summit, fog started to fade away, revealing the breathtaking sea of clouds. We stayed for a while at the top not only because of the stunning view, but also because I was exhausted after a long and grueling hike.
All of a sudden we heard huge cracks of thunder above us so we hurried to hike down. In no time, the heavens opened and it began to pour down. It was raining so hard we were quickly soaked through, making the remaining trip cold, wet and quite scary (also due to nightfall). The descent was the hardest part - pain have already built up in my knees even before the summit, and with each step downhill I felt sharp stabbing pain in my kneecap and on the bottom of my feet. Thankfully we made it down safely and by the time we got back to the new trail head the sun was already up again… The entire trip took us nearly 26 hours to complete.
This short cinematic vlog is proof that we have conquered the 3,092m Beidawu Mountain in a single-day ascent.

＃鼻頭漁港＃鼻頭角公園＃瑞芳
鼻頭漁港位於新北瑞芳區，附近有鼻頭角步道和鼻頭角公園可以踏青玩水， 港區腹地不大，不過因為緊鄰山陵，而有一種奇險之感。
這天的天氣並不算太好，雲層算是蠻厚的，不過最後還是要感謝上天的厚愛，給了一個有點味道的光線效果。
另外還遇到差一點嚇破膽的驚險過程，正當專心看螢幕時，好調整想要的鏡頭角度，突然畫面有黑影出現，立即看了一下空拍機，才發現老鷹已經在旁邊盤旋打量中，好在沒有給我抓下去，可能它老兄也應該只是好奇想問候一下吧！
Bitou Fishing Port is located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. The Bitou Cape Trail and Bitou Cape Park are nearby to enjoy the water. The hinterland of the port area is not large, but because it is close to the hills, it has a sense of danger.
The weather on this day is not too good, the clouds are quite thick, but in the end, we still have to thank God for the love, which gives a light effect with a little taste.
In addition, I encountered a thrilling process that was almost scared. When I was watching the screen intently, I adjusted the angle of the camera. Suddenly, dark shadows appeared on the screen. I immediately looked at the aerial camera and found that the eagle was hovering around. Fortunately, I didn't catch it. Maybe it's just curious and want to greet me!
