🧏♀️ How can I track workout progression if I’m working out from home?
This is something that you CAN still do, perhaps just not in the same capacity as before. You can still set a programme, perhaps four days of training across a week and then look to build on your initial numbers each time you revisit the session. This could look like 6 push ups in week 1, increasing to 7 in week 2 and so on. No, you won’t be hitting big PB’s but it gives an opportunity to work on a variety of different and new movements and still progress.
How can I motivate myself to train from home?
Routine, structure, reward. Those are my three non negotiables. I get up every morning now, have my coffee and then train. I make it a habit so that it seamlessly becomes a part of my day. I plan my workouts so I have structure and know exactly what I’m going to be doing. And at the end of each session I look forward to having the luxury of being at home and making a delicious breakfast. In these situations we HAVE to look at the positives. We can all still move from home if well enough, so instead of seeing it as a negative, embrace the challenge and feel the benefits!
Will I lose strength?
Perhaps. But saving lives and stopping one of the most unprecedented health crises of a generation is worth a wee drop in strength, ok. The gym will be waiting for you when this is all over.
How many rest days should I take?
Training at home STILL REQUIRES REST DAYS. Just because you’re not smashing it in the gym doesn’t mean your body doesn’t need adequate recovery. Check in with yourself each day, how are you feeling? Are you sore? Are you fatigued? You know better than anyone when to rest, so listen.

Should you workout when you are sick?
The big fat answer is NO! Some may say i think it's alright but from my experience things just got worse when I did my weight training session with a mild sore throat thinking I could beat it.
I'm truly getting more excited for the big day. Thank you once again for following me on my journey and when this is over, i hope to share more with you. :)

Vlog for Week 7
I lost a precious week from training cause I caught a bad flu bug, that gave me cough, fever, cold, sore throat, and diarrhoea. What a shebang but I'm a lot better now.
Since I was sick, I didn't train but I did maintain a healthy diet plan. I brought up the carbs a bit and maintained with protein as the majority of my nutrition pie chart.
Todays vlog i suggest the foods that you should be eating when you're sick. I say this because I know first hand that I wanted to eat all kinds of gunk. But here's where I want to say being sick doesn't give you an all access pass to eat crap. For me I calculated macros and it's even more important to eat nutritious foods because you're body needs it for repair.
Furthermore, I had no choice but to resort to antibiotics. Not good but how do i combat the meds that will also kill my good bacteria and maintain my gut health, keep watching :)
I'm down to 4 weeks left!!!! OMGOSHHH, There's so much to be done and i'm starting to get a lot more anxious now. Wish me all the best, honestly this round doesn't have optimal situations but i will make do and press on.

Should you workout when you are sick?
The big fat answer is NO! Some may say i think it's alright but from my experience things just got worse when I did my weight training session with a mild sore throat thinking I could beat it.
This entire week, was about me getting back my strength and energy. The flu really pissed me off, cause it hindered me from training my normal amount. With only 20 plus days left can't afford to mess anything up.. from my health, to my sleep, to my food nothing... Any unnecessary thing can be avoided as long as i make the right decisions.
I panicked quite a bit this week, because I unfortunately procrastinated on my costume. i have a choice to go in theme wear or in just simple sportswear. If I choose the later.. i amy lose points cause it doesn't attract the judges. So best would be to go with theme wear. Only problem is that takes time to find the right outfit.
Overall productive week and i'm truly getting more excited for the big day. Thank you once again for following me on my journey and when this is over, i hope to share more with you.
