“Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.” (John 6:70-71 WEB)
God the Father instructed Jesus to choose Judas as one of the twelve, knowing that he would betray Jesus.
There is much to say about Judas Iscariot. He didn’t betray Jesus only for thirty silver pieces—that wasn’t the prize.
As a thief, he was far shrewder than that. Judas betrayed Jesus because Satan offered him a far more lucrative deal.
Judas may have hanged himself and died, but his part is not over.
Find out more about his upcoming end-times role in my book “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”.
One thing’s for sure, our Lord Jesus always wins. The woman’s seed was destined to defeat the serpent’s seed ever since the Lord uttered the first prophecy in the Garden of Eden.
