Your Rewards: Love is the Greatest Unit of Measurement

“If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing...But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-3, 13‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I used to belittle love. It sounds so weak. But I have come to learn that it’s the greatest power in existence.
Love is godly. Something that’s godly cannot ever be weak.

The weak cannot love. That’s why Satan is a loser. He never expected God’s love for mankind to be so great.

Satan didn’t believe he was loved. When God made man in His own image, Satan thought that the angels had lost God’s love and were being replaced.
Pride and jealousy corrupted him.
Only those who believe they are loved, can love others.

It’s primarily the love of God that saved us, not the holiness of God.

If God was just holy but not love, He would have discarded us because all of us have sinned and fallen short of His glory.

It’s His love that compelled Him to send His Son to suffer and die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, so that we may become His children and live with Him.

It’s seeing and receiving the love of God in the Scriptures that makes us strong in faith and hope.
The name “David” means beloved. He knew that God loved him. That gave him the faith to run towards Goliath.
Believing that we’re the beloved of God makes us giant-slayers.

In this Christian journey, we’ll continually be learning about the length, depth, height and breadth of God’s love—and the answer will always come back as infinite.
His love knows no bounds. He will reach out into your darkness and pull you out, as much as He righteously can.

God grieves for those entering Hell every day because of their refusal to receive Jesus as Lord. He loves those who never loved Him.

When we stand before Jesus’ throne for judgment in the Millennium, we’ll be assessed not for our sins, but for our good works to measure our eternal rewards.

The units of measurement in general will be these three things which remain: faith, hope and love.

Faith in Jesus receives blessings from God through Jesus’ finished work at the cross.
The greatest Hope is the blessed hope of receiving our bodily redemption at the Rapture of the church.

The greatest of the three is love because while faith and hope receive, love gives.
The one who gives is more blessed than he who receives, and should receive a better reward.

“In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”” (Acts‬ ‭20:35‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Faith and hope (perseverance produces hope—Romans 5:4) will bring us to the full spiritual maturity of love.

“Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness; and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.” (2 Peter‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭WEB)

When we love one another as Jesus loved us, we are fulfilling the royal law of love. Then our faith will not just be in words, but in deeds as well.
Jesus wants His disciples to be known primarily by their love, not by their faith or hope.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”” (John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭WEB)

Dearly beloved of God, if you always choose to walk in love, especially towards fellow believers, you will never lose out.
Love makes you a beautiful person and is the defining trait of true heavenly royalty which you are.

Salvation is a gift that can only be received freely by Grace through faith.

On the other hand, eternal rewards are only for believers and must be earned by good works—you can’t receive them freely by Grace.

There’s no such thing as a standardized rewards package for every believer. Everyone’s rewards will be uniquely measured according to one’s works.

Jesus wants us to receive the best rewards that last forever. One day we will stand before His throne to receive our rewards.
By His Grace, we can redeem the time and walk wisely when time is so short!

10 MOST POPULAR JAPANESE SELFIE POSES BY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS

We talk about the top 10 selfie poses used by Japanese high school girls, or young Japanese girls in general. And as usual, we reenact them.... awkwardly.

Here are the 10 Japanese selfie poses:

1. Peace Sign Pose

The most common but we have to go over this classic.

2. Toothache Pose

Mimicking having a toothache, a cutesy pose. It became common from fashion magazine covers to show nail designs, and soon Japanese girls picked it up. It also helps to hide the roundness of one's face, an oftentimes undesired trait.

3. Paw Pose (or Gao Pose)

Mimicking putting a paw up. Many variations including holding it at differing heights, one or two hands, etc. It is thought to have started out with Harajuku pop icon, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who posted selfies with her hands held like claws, showing her new nail designs. Others argue that the pose came from Lady Gaga's "paws up" pose.

It is also called 'Gao' pose as gao is the Japanese way of describing a roar. This related to the girl playfully acting like a cute little animal.

4. Hiding One Eye Pose

Covering one eye is another popular selfie pose, used both to show off one’s fingernails and eye-make.

5. Eliza Pose

The “Eliza” pose was named after the popular CanCam model, Eliza Ikeda (or Elaiza Ikeda). She posed in her selfies by lightly squeezing her cheeks to emphasize her lips.

6. Hamu Hamu Pose

“Hamu” is the onomatopoeia of the action of lightly biting. Selfies where the subject gently bites her lower lip are now becoming more popular amongst the teenage girls, as well as being much more warmly received by young males (especially compared to poses such as the duck pose / ahiru guchi).

7. Drinking Pose (or Near-Chu Pose)

Another upcoming selfie pose is the “drinking-out-from-a-straw” pose, known in Japanese as the “near-chu” pose. It gives the impression of kissing (“chu” is onomatopoeia of kissing).

8. Pinching the Cheek Pose

Pinching-the-cheek pose looks strange, but also cute as well. Apparently, it rose to popularity thanks to a smartphone app where the user can manipulate their taken image to stretch their cheek out a bit. One potential reason why this is popular amongst girls is that it apparently helps to reduce wrinkle lines from laughing and smiling.

9. Covering the Mouth Pose

Like the “covering-one-eye” pose, hiding your mouth to only show the top half of your face is also popular recently. Many girls use this selfie pose to show off their eye-make up, as well as the nail designs, together.

10. Pistol

The “pistol” pose, finally, was popularized by Manami Enosawa, one of the more well-known models in Seventeen magazine. Like the “toothache” pose, the “finger pistol” covers the chin and cheek areas to hide the roundness of one’s face, albeit with a dash off added fun.

CAN YOU GET PERVERTED ANIME NOSEBLEEDS? (ANIME VS REALITY)

Nosebleeds from sexual arousal...

We’ve all seen those anime scenes where a guy catches a glimpse of a girl undressing, maybe she’s in a revealing outfit, or acting seductive to the guy. She could be flat out naked. And then suddenly blood shoots out of his nose!

A very iconic scene in Japanese anime and manga. Frequently used as a metaphor for sexual arousal. The nosebleeds can range from just a trickle, to full on fountain gushing. And in some cases, it even serves as a plot device, such as in Dragon Ball with Master Roshi.

Some say, it’s meant to be a powerful way to show the immediate change a person goes though when sexual arousal is induced. Others say it’s really more about the nervousness.

Then there’s the most obvious, an imagery for blood flow to the guy’s nether regions. And taking that one step further, the explosive, projectile nature of the nosebleed is said to be like an ejaculation!

There’s also the idea that the reason for the nosebleed metaphor is because you can’t show a boner in anime. So they had to get creative. Also one doesn’t even need to be capable of a boner to have pervy nosebleeds as some female anime characters also demonstrate this bloody trait.

Ok so, is this real? Does this happen to people in real life?

Shocking as it may be, it doesn’t seem to be backed by medical science. This probably only happens in the anime and manga world, although there are a few real life examples of this happening, but surely it’s just coincidence? Otherwise all late middle schools and high schools would be like a scene from Saw!

But how did pervy nose bleeds become a thing in Japan?

It’s actually existed for a while now. Manga artist Yasuji Tanioka is believed to be the first person to have introduced this nosebleed motif with his early 1970’s manga (Yasuji no Mettameta Gaki Dou Kouza). Subsequently, other Japanese artists liked the expression and began replicating it in their own works. And, we pretty much know where it went from there.
